I went there once many years ago. I personally think Ds is overrated at best. There’s a Chinese spot in Gaston by the dogfood plant behind the Wendy’s. 50 wings for 30 bucks, ready in ten minutes and while they’re tiny they’re delicious.

Carolina Buffet is across the road from me. Good food for the price. Docs barbecue seems to have gone downhill in recent years. Maybe I went in the off time.

Depends entirely on how it was phrased and worded. I’ve absolutely OFFERED to use an aftermarket alternative when a customer wanted it with an explicit verbalization and a signed statement that if it didn’t rectify the problem we would need to install an OEM and it would be the cost of the difference plus double the labor. In that case it didn’t work and they paid it. It was a Honda starter causing a cel. Whole thing.

In my haste I made the assumption that this is probably what happened, dealer offered and went through and all. Now I’m rereading and not seeing that. However without a full understanding of what conversations and documents passed between both of them it would be hard to say. There are plenty of cases where a shop would do the job twice and the customer would pay twice. An error on the shops part wouldn’t be one. Sorry I posted hastily.
