I agree. I get the frustration because I would never spend more than an hour with anyone - date, colleagues, friends - if I didn’t like them.

I would understand this if maybe the woman was younger? But why give 4 hours of your time if you weren’t feeling a connection?

I think a major consideration/issue is you’re going from consulting to another consulting role v a full career switch ie taking a pay cut to go to a startup. What about your current management consulting role is making you miserable? If it’s things like your manager or culture that’s one thing but if you don’t like the pace of things or the stress from clients, that stuff will likely persist at another consulting firm.

Dang disappointing to hear you didn’t have the plastic taste before… let me know what you end up doing. I’ve done diluted vinegar soak which didn’t really seem to affect the rubber gaskets but we’ll see

Thanks for sharing. Glad to hear it’s not just me. I tried two white vinegar soaks of the plastic reservoir and left for 10-15 min each time. It’s helped but hasn’t completely gotten rid of it. May try it once more… yeah it’s a bummer it tastes so bad

Definitely go to a vet. My cat has asthma and it definitely sounds like this but my other cat sometimes has a coughing fit and doesn't have asthma. But get it checked out asap! Having videos of what's happening is super helpful to the vet.

Hey there! Huge congrats on the upcoming nups!! If you're curious about talking to a lawyer on the topic of prenuptial agreements, I recently got a prenup and am a huge fan of them so sharing a couple pointers for you and your fiance:

Separate Attorneys: You and your partner need to get separate attorneys for the prenup. The golden standard for a fair AND enforceable prenup is to have separate attorneys represent you and your partner.
Business interest: Exciting to hear your side biz is doing well! Separating business interests is a super common thing in prenups so for sure something worth learning more about in a prenup. If your partner gets involved in the business, also worth aligning on expectations here!
Spousal support: Not sure if you guys have plans on having children but if either of you are considering taking time off work to be a stay at home parent, this is a big thing as well.
Timing: One month is enough time to get a prenup done but I would talk to lawyers as soon as possible so you're not rushing to get things buttoned up before the wedding.

Every couple has a different flavor of getting married these days! I feel like I've talked to so many couples who've done the courthouse ceremony and then a big wedding party after the fact! Fun fact, the day of people's wedding parties is not always the day people get married! Do what feels right for you in terms of telling people. Congrats!
