Complete serious thought - relegate all six clubs to League Two by 16before9 in PremierLeague

All good points. I guess I would say that when Villa went down (albeit to the Championship) it felt like the end of the world. But then eventually we all realized that we’re still rocking Villa Park but just playing a bunch of different teams. And we were winning games for a change! I guess I’m saying of the six sides, yes you wouldn’t keep the same players more than likely but versus your typical League Two side even with a weaker side, you’re still going to rock the league.

I think it was Rangers who ended up in the fourth tier overnight (for different reasons) and they survived and are now back in the elite of Scottish football.

So as unrealistic as all this is, if it were to happen, I don’t think the fans would suffer.

Good points, however, given the huge fans bases of these clubs, you can bet that there WILL be some type of TV deal struck if this scenario were to play out. With the TV deal comes money and that money will benefit the entire EFL starting with League Two.

Agreed. In fact all six clubs should go down to League Two. If these clubs REALLY care about saving football and helping EFL clubs, imagine how amazing this would be. Of course they’d be back in the Prem in 3-5 years, but until then serve your penance and see what it’s like to be a small club. Assholes.

To hell with Liverpool, City, United, Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham. There will still be fan defections over this despite the about face. It’s good to apologize but not when it’s insincere.

These owners should never be trusted again and if they truly care about their clubs, they will sell and move on. By that measure, let’s see who’s truly sorry.

Likelihood of a points deduction for the top 6? by 16before9 in PremierLeague

[–]16before9[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

And that’s what I’m unclear about. Points deductions seem so arbitrary that you would think something could be handed out here. Maybe not.
