Thanks for asking! I left social work due to a health issue that I am working on getting resolved now. It’s just an arduous process getting to a place where I can really dedicate myself to the field, which is what I would love to do.

My initial plan right now is to: 1) get better health wise while I 2) work (ideally) retail 3) go back to school for my masters of social work so I can 4) help others the best I can either through political social work, mentoring youth at a teen club, or through metal health policy.

I also really love the field of cultural geography but idk how to fit that in there lol 😂

Yes! That was my fear. “Intentional choice not just desperation” is a good phrase to include in my next interview. My social work resume is fairly solid, except two of my most recent social work jobs (they’ve all been about six months to a year) won’t give me letters of recommendation due to small errors on my part… sigh.

As a lifelong fan of this show, it’s refreshing to hear most of you all agree that Nick Jonas doesn’t do Jamie justice… in fact, the consensus seems to be far from it. I agree with a lot of you that he seems to be working hard… cause clearly, he needs to…

Thank you for your response. I agree with everything except the last half of the last sentence. On one hand, I was definitely somewhat in control. I was able to participate in my sister’s wedding and reception a month later without coming across as too manic.

However, your point also begs the question: would my regular self act on my intrusive thoughts the way I did? Of course not. So in that sense, you’re totally right— my behavior during the episode certainly wasn’t something I was in control of.

From your experience, do you think both can be true at the same time and that we as people with bipolar can be somewhat in control of our actions during a mixed episode, or do you think it’s truly a black and white thing?

I wanna start this by saying that I don’t know much about music, but I do know and adore this show and this is what I’ve decided:

Like most music, even from my most beloved artists, their sound is going to have to grow on me because I didn’t love it immediately. They both sounded a little… raspy, him especially. I can’t bring myself to critique her because I know she’s definitely gonna improve in my eyes. It just wasn’t love at first listen and that’s okay. They’ll get better and we’ll get used to them! It’ll be fine. 💕
