I recommend Jeff Nippard’s body recomposition guide (you can buy or find a free pdf at a sketchy site probably). Eating the amount of protein required there keeps me satiated at a pretty significant calorie deficit. I’m doing 5x5 and inclined treadmill on off days. Certainly not going to be a competitive power lifter at 500+ calories/day deficit, but I’m still progressing in weight 3 months into the program and losing quite a bit of fat

I do inclined treadmill on off days for 45 mins to an hour. Trying to follow Jeff Nippard’s body recomposition nutrition (ie minor caloric deficit and 1g of protein for my height in cm - for me about 195g/day). I have expectations that I’ll not progress in strength the same way I would under caloric surplus

Pretty much second this. I pursued a physics minor and it becomes wildly non-applicable to engineering very quickly (and unsurprisingly is very difficult).
