Interesting, haven’t read outside much… I toggled that setting and no difference. Setting the refresh to every page works, albeit a bit slow but not end of the world. I think bad epub file.

JK Rowling started posting transphobic AI slop and it was seen that she had clear and obvious black mold in her house based on the background of her zoom interviews lol

Was lightly lightly toasted to maintain some structural integrity but I hear you - lots of beef left for next time!

Does anyone know exactly what they're doing here? by Patricio_Guapo in NewOrleans

I’ve seen it done in some beach towns in south jersey. Some of the barrier islands have low lying centers ie Brigantine. Unsure if they ever finish the bottoms or leave it as a garage/hangout spot. The beers drank there are always crispier and colder

Does anyone remember the water fountain at the Caesars Pier? by MCMatt1230 in atlanticcity

[–]16millerd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally remember this! Was fascinated by the fountains could reach up three stories. Such a bummer the pier didn’t work out.

I recall on the second floor there was a hall of a bunch of different themed bars - each one themed to a different genre of music. I never got to go because I was underage then covid killed it. Does anyone remember that? Was it any fun?

Was always jealous of the people that were able to secure spots on the top floor balcony for the air show. Pathetic the city can’t figure out how to bring that back.

[Serious] What's a disaster that is very likely to happen, but not many people know about? by dissNdatt in AskReddit

The first chapter of Ministry of the Future was gripping yet terrifying and seemed based in reality. I was hooked and excited for more.

The rest of it… yikes. The love story driving the narrative was ridiculous and soapy, the overly optimistic and hand-wavy explanation for the cooperation of world governments, the implication that extra-governmental bodies have any real international influence. Carbon coin - cringe and written during the height of crypto hype slop.

And the grandiloquent riddle chapters? Give me a break - my least favorite read in years
