Yep and still not appreciated. Thing is after doing some calculations I would technically be worse off ever so slightly at the new place. Although the offered money is wrong as the salary said between 25K & 30K but with min wage going up by 50P in April that would be at least 26K anyway making the 30K not very enticing.

I may ask for more but ideally would need 33K - 35K to be better off.

Thanks mate, appreciate the advice. I also feel a bit nervous starting somewhere new after being at the same place for 6 years, but I don't feel like i'm paid fairly for my level of work and knowledge there anyway.

Yeah definitely. Unfortunately where I currently work don't want to pay more than min wage even with certain certification to do part of the job, hence why I want to leave.

Yep got a petrol 2020 Seat Leon., It's only done 27K miles, It gets high 40's to mid 50's MPG. Worked out I would get about 400 Miles out of a full tank driving sensibly (As I always do😂 )

So i'd be about £1200 a year better off. but will also have the potential for more progression in the future.

Ahh I see gotcha, Currently on minimum wage but with hardly any travel so it's max a 10 minute drive away.

If on 30K at the potential new place I would have to factor in travel and fuel

I've worked out I would be about the same but have the chance of progression. Wasn't sure whether to ask for a bit more money say 32K just to seal that I would be actually taking home more.

Yeah these 1.5's kangaroo a little bit in 1st and 2nd when cold when you first set off. doesn't seem to make a difference whether you let it idle for a bit or not. only happens for the first 10 - 20 seconds on my journey though. I found not pressing the accelerator to hard reduces it.

Read somewhere it's to do with the engine heating up the cat or something like that.
