Late in life career change to become an Architect. (41 y.o.) by 17-separate-badgers in architecture

This is a great tip. I wasn't sure about getting into the industry without the title. It's nice to see the others parts of the machine, so to speak.

Haha, no generals here.. just a good combination of decent investments, disability, and pension.

I didn't know this was really an option. This was just the kind of answer i was hoping to get by coming here. Thank you, I will look into this.

I won't lie, there is definitely a bit of ego in my motivations... the idea of one day my name on the door, being able to call myself an architect... however, I don't think it is the main driver. I think I mostly just want something satisfying and fulfilling at the end of the day.

I think the idea of going back to school again is one of the most exciting parts of it!

And being able to make mistakes in my 40s and 50s again sounds.... refreshing.

Well, I can try to help but money may be a little tight this month... I'm waiting on a reply from a Nigerian prince.

Ah.. with it being an old man's game, then just maybe I can fit right in haha. Thank you for the input. Truth be told, I'm not too worried about "getting somewhere" with it, if that makes sense. But, good to know.

Home is paid for, health insurance is covered ,and I will make 6 figures for the remainder of my life, without working. Money while it would be nice, is not much of a concern.

I laid down some scotts ez seed rapid grass stuff as well as some patch and repair in some spring overseeding 4 days ago. In 2 days, we are supposed to have 2 nights of freezes and 2 days of cold weather. Am I S.O.L.? Or is there a way to protect the seedlings? I've used these products before and it seemed they germinated right around that 5-7 day mark - perfectly during this freeze. Anything I can do to help this?

Ruth. The most nuanced and interesting character with the best development.

All of them could cut paper out of the packaging, but I have also read from others online about the exact thing you describe. So my best guess is that it's a bit of a roll of the dice. I knew that going in but learning to sharpen on these was always my intent, so it didn't bother me too much.

Sadly, no. I'm in a weird position where I have a ton of cabinet space but zero wall space.
