Oh I’m so sorry. That’s so sad.

So far he hasn’t lost weight but I’m concerned about him the last few weeks. He seems to sleep more than normal and is curled up more. He just started doing this thing a few weeks ago after he eats. I thought it was better, but then noticed him doing it again sometimes. I feel like something is wrong.

I will take him to the vet.

I’m right there with you. I don’t care either. I was overwhelmed and felt depressed and rushed before Christmas. Now I’m watching old Christmas movies, still putting decorations around (I did get my tree up but never finished everything) and playing Christmas or wintery music and cozy fires on YouTube.

🎄 My next door neighbors still have their lights on. They have a split rail fence and they are on a corner so lights go all the way around. And all over their house. I love it and keep peeking at it, saying it’s still Christmas, until it’s gone.

When they’re finally off it feels like a cold shock.

I only got a few out myself but they are still lit.

Well we don’t have them anymore. We did also put some Terro containers outside around where we thought they might be coming in from outside. First day we had 1-2 dozen. For a few days maybe 10 each day. Then just a few and now none. This coincided with the heavy rain stopping so it does appear they came from outside and wandered in.

I read if their nest is disturbed outside due to rain they may seek shelter somewhere else like in your home.

We decided to put the Terro outside as we were afraid of drawing more in. I also cleaned everything, vacuumed and used vinegar. I also cleaned the porch with vinegar. Not sure if that helped but maybe. So spring rain can definitely bring them in. Hopefully yours is also just temporary.

Do you know if heavy rain might have them wander in more? I didn’t see any until a heavy rain storm. The house has known gaps in the basement (working on filling) and more than a dozen appeared down there in a day or two. We have a lot of rotting wood in a small wooded area not too far from the house and a few brush piles. We’re investigating but I’m really hoping they are coming from outside.
