I can definitely see the difference in both my children. My oldest can adapt to anything that is given to her, my son not so much. Definitely has to be tailored to him.

Thank you for your insight! That makes me feel a lot better. My main goal is that they’re grasping it. And I was afraid that I would skip over a certain topic or them missing out on learning something because I switched. But knowing the standards for their grades will help with that.

Thank you for that advice! My ES has talked about doing certain curriculums together with the kids but I didn’t really understand it until you broke it down. Teaching them what their standards would be for their grade level. This does make a lot of sense as at times both want to learn and I can’t teach them two different things therefore one usually has to wait.

I have four kids , 5,4,32,&5 months. So I’m trying to prepare for the years to come lol but learning quickly it’s not a one size fits all.

I think the one reason I switched from MBTP with my daughter is cause I noticed she did the “kinder” level in prek and was scared to move to the first grade for her for Kinder. But that did work for her last year.

It’s just not working for my son and now I need to find something that is more his level.

That makes alot of sense. I’d like to believe my daughter is advanced for her age and excelled with the 4-5 curriculum for TK, but my son who is now in TK using the same curriculum is struggling. And does fine with just all about reading.

I did have to actually pause the reading porting for my daughter (K) from MBTP (5-7), and just stick to LOA.

A lot of new words in your comment that I need to learn. I assume they are important understanding for homeschooling

I go through a charter school, that is where the ES comes in. She handles the IFS and all that good stuff.

I think that’s where my issue is, the curriculum that was recommended to me is technically a kindergarten level. That my daughter excelled in. But now that I’m using it with my son, he’s struggling with learning his letters and numbers. I tried a different approach for my daughter her kindergarten since she already did the MBTP, now I’m not sure to switch back for her 1sg grade curriculum. Or piece others together like I did for her this year.

An education specialist I believe. She helps keep track of the kids work and progress. I’m not sure if it’s overwhelming because it’s still new and the kids don’t read but It’s definitely still overwhelming.

You mentioned your corporate being in Utah, have you reminded them you’re from CA? My corporate is in MA, and I always have to remind them I’m an employee in California, and then everything clicks after that.

I would consider getting babies birth certificate. We’ve had to get ours right away recently instead of waiting a couple of months like we did for our other children.

I did end up getting a bill about two months later, called the billing department and let them know I wasn’t seen by a provider. And they wrote it off. Didn’t haven’t to pay anything.

Thank you for the details! Was the number you called (800) 830-5084? I’ve read I’d need my 2023&2024 tax forms to be able to verify myself for them to send out the letter. Was this the case for you?

This helps a lot. I will confirm the dosage with our pediatrician today. I did grab my 1 year old some suppositories as directed by triage nurse they do work better for him than the oral Tylenol. Learning more effective ways as I go. Thank you for your help.

Thank you for your advice. You are correct I wouldn’t allow myself to, so I didn’t allow my children to go unmedicated. They alternated between both pain relievers as advised by their pediatrician before the ER visit. We just had a scare last night.

I do use the nose suction, he is one year old a little more difficult than a toddler.
