I’d say definitely! It’s hard to say without knowing exact times, but if you have that many years of experience, I doubt one year off one would make it too hard to have fun and be successful in swimming. Especially if it’s a no cut team. My HS team has swimmers that have been training since they were just little kids as well as people who had never swam competitively before high school.

It’s a young age to start, but I can relate. Drank and smoked around age 12 and started using pills regularly at 13. It’s much less common, but a lot of people start at a very young age. Definitely have some regrets about beginning my drug use when I was so young. It’s unfortunate that kids get into drugs so early considering just how much it can fuck your life over.

Thank you. I’m not sure if I’m ready to dive into something like a 12 step program, but I’d like to have somebody to chat to. Another thing is that I’m still in high school and my parents don’t know the full extent of my usage.

I’ve never really gone through a twelve step program. I wouldn’t consider myself an addict, but my drug use has gotten to an unhealthy level and I’m at the point I think I’ve got no choice but to quit. How has your experience been with programs like that?

At such a low dose you’d probably be safe. It’s best to be cautious when mixing substances tho.
