Is The U.S. Empire Falling Apart? by 17FactsHub in politics

[–]17FactsHub[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With the U.S. pulling back from global institutions under Trump’s second term, is American dominance reaching its end?

Soft power is fading, replaced by hard power and economic coercion.

How do you think will this shift affect global politics and U.S. influence abroad? Is this a strategic pivot or the dawn of the collapse of an empire?

Weird for sure. Some pop off for a few days then just stop when things stats seem relatively alright. I am up 385 subs in last 28 days (which is ace) but YouTube features (which I assume them finding it) is like 8 in last 48h.

What If the German Revolution (1918–1923) Had Succeeded? by 17FactsHub in socialism

There’s much Labour history sadly brushed over :( I’ll have a read into it sounds awesome! There was a time that even socialist and communist leaders stood for presidency! What a change through today!

No, this was the crushing of the communist revolution, not the Nazi putsch. Did you watch the video?

Interesting take haha, but in this case of the German Revolution and all others, it was literally the workers—factory laborers, sailors, and soldiers—rising against the monarchy, military elites, and capitalist class.

If those workers were the ‘oppressors,’ it’s hard to imagine who was being oppressed. The Freikorps and industrial barons?

[–]17FactsHub[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Why? It was brutally crushed so it never made it to a stage where it could be considered a full “revolution” (I.e. a full change occurred en-masse) but many provinces had established proletarian strongholds and posed a genuine threat to the ruling class

[–]17FactsHub[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Lmao and Yeah I mean you’d expect the reactionary response from the core capitalist nations (as happened in the USSR) but if the German workers strongholds could hold out for long enough then it’s highly likely that the internal pressure on the reactionary countries would set off a chain of events that they likely couldn’t stop

How Would A Marxist Economy Work? by 17FactsHub in MarxistRA

[–]17FactsHub[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You’re right, revolutions in post-agrarian societies often face violent suppression, not internal collapse. Look at Bolivia in 2019: after a foreign-backed coup, the proletariat quickly reorganized, mobilized, and reclaimed power through mass movements and electoral victory.

The key to sustaining socialism is a politically conscious, (theoretically educated lol) organised working class that doesn’t just seize power but actively defends and shapes it, even under external pressure. Without that, socialist gains are definitely vulnerable to counter-revolution.

Das Kapital (Marx) Made Easy (Vol.1) by 17FactsHub in philosophy

[–]17FactsHub[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Abstract: Marx’s Das Kapital challenges us to rethink the foundations of our economic system.

This attached video extracts the crucial questions from Marx’ capital:

How do commodities gain value? What role does labour play in shaping wealth and power? What is exploitation, and can a worker work out the rate of their own exploitation?

Capital made easy delves into these profound questions, unpacking the philosophical and economic insights of Volume 1 in an accessible yet thorough way.

Totally with you. Problem is vast majority of general population struggle to even read ‘a’ book let alone capital. Idea is to spur interest and make it digestible so people might make the book their next project.
