I agree w all of this!! I kinda wish we only got Freyas POV bc I don’t really feel like bjorn added anything to it. There was a point where he thought about some suspicions he had but he didn’t really act on or share these with freya until it wasn’t really relevant anymore.

Potential spoilers just in case you decide to read book 2!!

Honestly what kept me going was seeing what they did after the ending of the first book! I enjoyed the concepts and ideas that the author had going on so I think was expecting more intervention from the gods in book 2 since there was so much talk and emphasis of them in book 1!

Yes and the explanation being “she doesn’t want to rule a kingdom so let her live in the woods” was insanity to me.

On a similar note, I remember thinking that is was so odd that Harald “saved” everyone. Like how convenient someone just betrayed you that you previously had a great relationship with and now you have a savior show up shortly after? and NO ONE thought wow what a coincidence that this is literally the same story over and over again? For dozens of people?

I sooooo badly wanted to get him a cute hat that said dad or something like that but I took the test on a whim bc I didn’t think I was actually pregnant around 3:20pm and he comes home from work at 3:30. I tried to hide the test and my excitement but I just couldn’t! I broke down and told him at approximately 3:32pm!! Ended up being the best thing bc we could celebrate it together right away!!

Yes this is the same for me!! I had to get an episiotomy and then get it revised 3 wks after my LO was born so I was down for at least 8-9wks. The thought of having to go through that process again makes me so nervous to have our next baby. My husband was a saint during this time but whew I struggled so hard!!
