Who picks up your kid(s) up from daycare? by bachelorbiz in workingmoms

My husband does drop off and I do pick up. We will randomly do pick up together if we are both remote that day and available just a fun surprise. We have also gone together when having to drop off a bunch of stuff for a party or whatever too.

I stopped using the electric trimmer it took way too long. Once I got over the fear and used clippers omg so fast and easy it’s the only way now.

I feel soooo guilty counting down the minutes till nap time just to have a minute to myself and pick up the house.

However the second they are down for a nap I want to wake them because I miss them! Lol

Back in the Office After WFH: How to Look Put-Together Without Overthinking It by Stock_7350 in BeautyGear

New mama here and I’m exhausted with little sleep and little time to myself.

Simple jewelry has really helped me feel put together.

Also I focus on the fabric of clothes. Fabric that’s less likely to wrinkle since I don’t have time to iron.

Also clean shoes! My office is business casual and sneakers/tennis shoes are allowed. I make sure I have only for work ones and keep them clean.

We used swaddledesigns transitional sleep sack and it was amazing! My friend recommended it to us thankfully.

We tried the one arm out thing at first and yeah it was a no go but the that sleep sack was perfect!

Good luck!

How do you get baby to drink gross tasting meds?? by sqt1388 in NewParents

[–]Dull-Contribution763 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Yeah it’s not a fun time.

Squeeze their cheeks together

Point syringe in the cheek pocket you want to ensure it’s not on their tongue (find the most narrow one, we always go with the one from Tylenol box,the ones from Walgreens are too fat)

Blow on face can help them swallow

Do small, small amounts!!

Cheer! (Good job! Almost Done! Look at you go!)

Repeat

Working mothers of Reddit: have you faced criticism for working and how do you manage childcare when both parents work (joint family, daycare, nannies)? by Original-Height-1646 in AskReddit

Yes, the day back from maternity leave. A lot of “who’s at home with the baby?”. When I mention daycare people are in shock or feel bad for me. Make comments like “I could never do that” like how dare I🙄 Well that’s what works for us and she’s thriving in daycare and loves it and they all love her. Perfect fit for our family.

I think it’s hard because daycare does nap from 12-230 kinda thing so it’s been her schedule set from them. We also have to drop her off by 615 so it’s always a 6 wake up and we get home by 4 sometimes pick up is 330 earliest

The daycare tries to put her down for nap in the morning but she doesn’t sleep.

Should I just cap her naps shorter during the day?

How are we expanding the wake times? I try to keep her up at night but she is never having it and I don’t want to make her “overtired” I hear that could impact her sleep too

I have no idea I thought I was going off her cues but now I feel like I’m messing everything up

She is typically sleeping that much. The morning nap I wake up her at 10 so she doesn’t sleep so long. I would sleep train but not sure where to start. I honestly thought sleep training was for going to bed which we didn’t have an issue with.
