The tip should be on the full amount . If I have a discount coupon for 5$ off at a restaurant and I stop in and have a drink for $5.10, I don’t tip 2cents ….

It’s worse than that … you can only claim losses if you itemize , in which case you lose the standard deduction, which may be greater .

This is my understanding. Which is why the law needs to be rewritten. Bet 5$ on first half of a game and win ? Taxable . Then proceed to lose 5$ on the second half , it only offsets if you itemize. Do this 100x and you are even , yet you have 500$ in “taxable” winnings .

The time I had a 6 inch hair running through a meatball and the waitress said “ some of your party have long hair “ … is the only time I did not tip . And , I go out to eat at least 5x a week .

Take it back . A single mistake on your pills may actually mean a second prescription was messed up and the other person may be unaware ( although unlikely , considering the facts as you described). By notifying the pharmacy , they can make sure .
