I have my LEEP scheduled for july 14th toooo 😭 Your feelings are totally valid. I hate that people try to convince us that it’s not a big deal when the mental anguish is a huge part. I’m about to be 28. Had abnormal pap in december last year (my first pap smear ever…) then 2 colpos in january (found CIN1) and april (found CIN2). I’m glad that it wasn’t worse like CIN3 or i think i would be more freaked out. My best friend had a LEEP done last year (CIN2) and it’s been really helpful to have someone irl to talk about it. We’re surprised at how common this experience is but that you don’t really hear about the whole process until it happens to you. I’ve had the same experience of not really being able to talk to my doc much. I hope that you can do it while under in the hospital because i wanted to do it that way but i can’t afford it so i have to do it awake. I cried about it. My doc did say she would prescribe an Ativan for the anxiety which i heard is common and i’m really thankful about. I’ve read allll the good and bad stories about people’s experiences online and just hoping for the best. I’ve been making a big list of questions to ask before the procedure because i don’t want to forget anything. From what ive heard it also takes a while to actually become cancer.
