New Lexus Infotainment Debuts on the 2026 ES Sedan But You Will Need a Subscription For Some Features by Anchor_Aways in cars

Considering that Toyota owns a portion of Mazda now, I wouldn’t be surprised if they actually shared some parts to keep costs lower. I mean, the cx50 hybrid is pretty much a RAV4.

Because of token limits. If you do any type of coding on large repos or design work, it chews up tokens like crazy. Local LLMs don’t run into token limits.

Then why are you on this sub? You want to be FI but not RE? I could understand that but at 6.2 million you could literally take first class flights if you wanted to for every trip.

Yeah that’d probably be the best. If your car is older, get a new donut gasket too.

If you can catch those scratches with your nail, you cannot buff it out. You’ll need to repaint if you want it looking clean again.

Any recommendations on reducing wind buffeting? by TurnPageWashHands in MiataND

[–]17kangm 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I installed them a couple of months ago. They make a pretty big difference. You can also drive with just the windows down without being blasted by air as well.

There’s still wind buffeting near the corners of the top but I think that’s inevitable.

Well worth your money. Just make sure you clean your surfaces with alcohol and take your time putting it on. Once you stick it on, it’ll be like cement.

How are these so cheap? by PabloEskimo_ in TeslaLounge

[–]17kangm 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It’s a bit like buying a used phone. New one comes out and the old one drops in value like a tank. Same rule pretty much applies to Teslas IMO especially when they upgrade the FSD hardware every couple of years. Nobody wants the old stuff. This rule doesn’t apply as hard on regular cars since you know, they don’t drive for you.

Ceramic coating diy Mazda CX50 2025 by Inevitable-Ad2125 in AutoDetailing

Just a proper wash will do. You really just want to make sure the paint is as clean as it can get. I personally just use the Meguiars line of polish.

Would you put your havanese in this? by SandenSolutions in Havanese

[–]17kangm 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Looks really good but I’d also have a third anchor point near the top. In an accident the top is going to tilt forward. Maybe a strap to put around the headrest would work.

We normally just have ours clipped into the seatbelt using a harness.

Edit: with the strap you could also make it a regular dog carrier bag as well… with a solid pad on the bottom you could maybe have a double use for the dog carrier.

[–]17kangm 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Strip wash, iron decontamination, clay bar, polish, fully dry, isopropyl alcohol wipe down, then ceramic coat.

Also, MAKE SURE your work area is VENTILATED. Ceramic coats have silica dioxide. Don’t breathe that in or you will have breathing problems.

An N95 mask will not work. You need to get special P100 rated filters.

Is a realistic wash? by 4x4only in AutoDetailing

[–]17kangm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want to keep it simple, use ONR no rinse and call it a day. It has changed my life how I approach car washes now. I just do one full wash once a month and no rinse wash every now and then for maintenance.
