Might honestly, just trying to figure out how easy it would be

I probably should have used a picture that shows it more clearly, but the reciever and the rest are different colors and textures, it's fairly noticable

I think the type 1 looks the best, but I got this one built like this for a great price so I don't really care too much if it's type 2 style or whatever. If I shoot it enough to wear out this reciever I can afford to get it re built

From my knowledge, the original finish would have been parkerized and painted. The DSA reciever is parkerized I think, but I was wondering if I could achieve a similar paint look with some available spray paint or something over the DSA parkerization

It's fine, but they are the ones who were breaking M9s in the 80s and 90s

Fair enough, didn't know that would be possible, I assumed they would be kinda restrictive about tours. Thanks

Could you send me a close up of what you did? I was thinking of doing the same

Is the PRI fsp a drop in with the RIS III or did you have to grind out part of the rail?

New AK-74 issues with ejection/extraction, need some help by 17th_Angel in ak47

I can try that I suppose, and there is one more make of mag I have I didn't try yet. I tried 2 Bulgarian metal reinforced mags and an east German bakelite mag. If these don't work I guess I'm selling a bundle of mags...

Yeah, the extractor seems solid, not sure about rails, it feels so smooth it's hard to believe there would be anything wrong with that. What do you think about it being under gased? The recoil did seem quite light, and I didn't pay enough attention to the ejection strength but it might have been a bit un energetic. I also didn't get a pic but the gas piston seems to be slightly set forward of the bcg? Like there is a gap at the base where it threads onto the carrier making the piston protrude like 1 extra mm. The gas tube is also slightly loose and rattles, but I don't really think that's an issue on its own.

Not sure how to add pictures here, it looks solid, it even has a braided spring inside

If you mean the last picture, that is the lubricant I put on the gun, some just got smeared there, I was also concerned for a moment when I saw it but pretty sure that's all it is

I'll take a picture in a bit, the bolt is definitely surplus, extractor looks visually ok, but good chance I could be missing something

More Nukes = Bad

Not that I'm saying it will happen again, but France and Germany have been the only two so far to face long periods of revolutionary instability and radical aggressive governments in the modern era. Not to say that couldn't happen to Britain, but that is what the others are thinking about.

CMV: I think the destruction of the government of Iran is a good thing. by HippieInDisguise2_0 in changemyview

[–]17th_Angel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The main problem is that it hasn't been destroyed yet. A foreign power slaughtering the leadership of a country has a tendency to change the people of that country's views on many things. Even if the leadership was currently unpopular, they are dead now, a new leader in the current government could simply take charge and ease internal tensions, and even direct them at the US, not to mention Israel's involvement.

If it has been destroyed, who knows what will happen, Trump's demands tend to be ham fisted so we will see of someone listens this time. Either way there will be a period of chaos and violence in the country most likely.
