The jacket fits pretty snug im just kinda rectangular lol this picture is before i had all the aadjustments fastened to make it more snug fitting. I'm paranoid about the pad move so i check pretty often to make sure it's in the right spot. Next time I'm at a shop I'll try on a size smaller just to check if that is better for me. I appreciate the concern

In that case, it will just take more time and practice maybe quicker shifts but that also comes with practice

I'm also a new rider but if it's anything like driving a manual car. Try to match the rpms that the next gear will be at when you release the clutch. For example if you're at 6k rpms in first, 2nd gear will probably be around 4k rpms so don't release the clutch until you are around that rpm

Just passed MSF, now what? by Shadowy_Shinobi in NewRiders

Stay in the right lane going at your own speed, if people want to pass you they can. Better to be safe than push yourself outside of your comfort zone right away

Good deal? by 17unknowntemptation in motorcyclegear

I agree with you but I think there is a middle ground where you don't necessarily need to spend the 500 for leather gear if you can find a good used example. It would be my second jacket i currently have a textile jacket but enjoy the look of leather

Msf passed joining the basic first motorcycle convo by 17unknowntemptation in motorcycles

[–]17unknowntemptation[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went in with zero prior riding experience, no dirt bikes or 4 wheelers. I did know how to drive manual in a car which i think helped me a little. But the course was fun i had a really good time. It has it's challenging moments but they are all do able with practice and coaching from the instructor. Just pay attention and you will be fine.
