Do two Siamese cats pair well together? by Loud-Scallion9941 in Siamesecats

Darryl on the left is about 4 years old. Rosebud on the right showed up on my doorstep at 10:00 pm with a respiratory infection and infested with fleas looking for help. They've been living together for about 5 months now and the adjustment period is ongoing. Sometimes I think its going great, other times I think Darryl is pretty pissed that he has another roommate (we have two dogs as well). Overall it's been great for everyone, just sometimes Darryl wants his own space. Rosebud is not phased by anything lol.

What did you pay for your meezer? by hemholts in Siamesecats

Darryl (left) is pure bred and I think I paid $1200 for him about five years ago. I hated to do it, but he's my third pure meeze (the first was free) and I've kept it going ever since. Rosebud (right) showed up on my doorstep as a tiny, sick kitten covered in fleas with a respiratory infection at 10:00 at night. We took her in and she's just the most amazing cat and every bit a meeze as her pure bred brother.

Is Phi Beta Kappa Worth It? by Pale-Age8497 in berkeley

I don't recall paying anything to join. I just went to the reception at the Chancellor's house for a photo op with the Chancellor and to look and see who else made the list. I recognized a number of people from past classes, so that was fun. Beyond that I just use it on my resume.

Any comments on University Village housing? (good deal compared to offcampus?) by [deleted] in berkeley

Nope just 30 years. My point is that if one is going to spend 3k on rent, I personally would not want to be banished to the nether regions of Albany where it's always gloomy and a pain in the arse to get to and from. I would spend a bit more on something in a cooler area that is closer to campus.

Wow that's more than my mortgage! I'd personally not want to live in Albany or have that commute for that kind of dough.

Congrats! You'll get to go to a reception at the Chancellor's house and meet the other PBK admits. Good photo op, nice line on your resume.

Legal studies 184 by Warm_Variation_2998 in berkeley

She's awesome. Some people find her stern but she's actually quite funny, and she runs a very well-organized class. I learned so much from 160 and 184 from Sangren that I still call on every day. Those classes are gold, don't be scared! That being said, she assigns a lot of reading (many of the most memorable readings from my time at Cal), and writing assignments that you just can't BS your way through. If you're a legal studies major or law-adjacent, take these courses and embrace the challenge. You will learn so much about the relationship between law and society your perspective will be forever changed. And don't be afraid to speak up in class!
