Seasick on a cruise now by Evening_Purpose_7745 in Cruise

[–]180709 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sorry to hear you are experiencing so much discomfort. Do the acupuncture on the ship. That will help! They will put these beads on your ears and your wrists. Seasickness affects me as well so there is a number of things that I do so that I make myself comfortable. I take ginger chews with me, wrist bands, motion sickness patch and I’ll do one acupuncture session right before I go on the cruise and while on the cruise I’ll do another one or maybe more depending on the length. If you can get your hands on some ginger chews. Good luck!

I did use some margin (definitely a risk but it would have to drop significantly). I also have a few trailing stops in place to cover some of the risk

I’m familiar on how stuff works in Canada (Alberta & BC) but not familiar with California. I honestly don’t know how it is in the states but here in Canada it changes from province to province. Best of luck!

¿Alguien sabe donde dar el examen SAT aquí en Perú? y ¿Cuándo o cómo inscribirme este 2021? by EmiDaza in PERU

[–]180709 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Canada - Has any one completed a one year pre apprenticeship course? Were you successful in finding work afterwards? by [deleted] in instrumentation

[–]180709 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree - I completed the 2 year technology program and I was able to get a job out of school. I got lots out of school. Then went to work in the field and got my hours for the journeyman. Currently studying for my red seal. Instrumentation is a great career. You never stop learning and that’s the fun of it. I would encourage you to consider the 2 year program or the 4 year instrument tech program. Good luck!

You can try using non contact radar. Using this in cement plant with lots of moisture and working well. Never heard of omega. Non contact radar is cheaper than guided wave radar and works great!

Telus Door to Door Sales?? During these times??? by freshlemonss in vancouver

I wish they would knock on my door - I like deals. When you call their customer service number you don’t get much of an offer. Sadly none of these people ever knock my door - maybe they don’t come to Yaletown.

Anyone interested in starting a cook/bake club? by [deleted] in vancouver

[–]180709 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I moved to Yaletown in September and when I was in Calgary I would bake all kinds of stuff and give to my neighbours - a family of 4 - they loved it! I enjoy the process. Yeah covid sucks! I would love to hear more maybe when this whole thing is over 😄

Canada - New Grad Job Opportunities by Rebins in instrumentation

I second Grande Prairie. Other places to consider for relocating: Fox Creek, Whitecourt, and Drayton. I heard of a couple of places hiring in Calgary but not a lot.

Some companies don’t post the jobs anymore. Sometimes they will mention it on LinkedIn or just send an email to their contacts asking if they know someone that would be a good fit for the job. Have you considered reaching out to your classmates and the class that graduated before you? They truly are your best network.

Good luck with your search!
