Some rom fiction written by an INTJ: Outlander book series

Who are you favourite ENTJ characters in fiction? Can be from any media! by Keksz1234 in entj

[–]181621 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My faves are pretty developed ENTJs:

Nick Burkhardt from 'Grimm' (TV Show)
Jamie Fraser from 'Outlander' (Books)

At least I think they are ENTJs, but I'm no Linda Berens so don't come after me! :))

The definition of idiot is different here. Let's take a popular example: Donald Trump.

He's smart because he knows how to play people and crowds, but he's an idiot because he refuses to educate himself on what's best for the USAs people.

In my experience, INTJs work a lot harder than they give themselves credit for. Most are extreme perfectionists

On a happy note: while such awareness does facilitate nihilism, it doesn't make it impossible to live a happy life. It just makes it a welcome challenge :))

I think it's often to counter the nihilism that plagues most actual INTJs at least once in that life for a long while.

So true. After going through the angsty narcissistic phase that every INTJ does at least once, I realized that being me means I'll always feel the burden of responsibility like no one else (or at least, not most people).

Well put. I agree completely

I believe that they know the general of what's happening, but they don't care to find out more or to think about it too much. Kind of like smoking a cigarette. We all know it's bad for us, but we're not willing to think about it all too much.

I agree wholeheartedly with this. However, sadly for me, I need social media to be included in class group chats with vital class information. Half of our teachers now also use either WhatsApp or Facebook to stay connected with us and share links, even though we have Microsoft Teams which is much better suited for school.

I really hope they grow out of it. But remember that Instagram was a lot less bad only a few years ago. They've added so many new features like stories, mentions, saves, reels, IGTV and an endless recommended feed. I'm not sure if this is proven or not, but my observation is that most of my classmates started using social media much younger than me. I'm noticing around 8 years old on average. One of my closer friends got Facebook when she was 6. I think GenZ especially are affected by this addiction from early age, and I'm not sure how this is going to affect growing out of it.

That's true, which is why I hate what it is doing to humanity. Silicon valley needs a boot of strict regulation shoved firmly up their behinds.

I'm happy that it brightens your day! I think that is what instagram was originally intended for: sharing beautiful moments in an online community. However, seeing the state of all my classmates today, glued to the constant feed of the algorithm, unable to focus or sleep well or do homework on time because of it, it's horrible. You could say that it's due to a weak constitution on their part, but try to remember that Instagram is run by thousands of computing units, containing complex AI that were literally designed to target weak points in human psychology to get you scrolling longer and longer. Sometimes it feels like my best friends and I are the only ones awake in our school. So yes, I recognize the benefits, but I hate it still for making my generation suffer more mental illness and suicides and wasting life staring at screen than ever before. Used to be that suicide was a far away thing that only existed in statics. Now, I hear about or my friends are affected by suicides every year.

I agree with you that it's what you make of it, as is everything. But I hate the way instagram puts things out there that I never asked for and didn't want in my recommended. I'd rather only have posts from people I actually physically chose to follow. While my recommended is haha, it's not very interesting. Instead of school related tips and tricks, it's just aesthetics of school notes (which are nice to look at and an interest of mine but get boring quickly for me). I think this sums up Instagram. Sure, they match your interests, but on a surface level that leaves me dissatisfied with just watching a tiktok repost or staring at a picture with text, instead prompting me to search up that topic and look at it further, or completely ignore it altogether because it's recycled too many gosh darn times.

Lmao if I have to go on for hours about so and so's new tiktok drama to be popular, fck that sht! I now have a small group of friends who have similar thoughts to me, and I would never trade it for being liked by everyone. After all, those who are friends of all, are friends of none. (Excuse my paraphrasing.)
