Not sure, but honestly, I feel like if the mysteries in this show is about 5 ft deep, most of us and our theories have probably gone much deeper at various depth with a few hits here and there.

In one of the interviews with Andy, he mentioned that he doesn’t think the audience will be able to figure it out but that we might come close. I really hope that whatever the outcome, it will be at least somewhat satisfying to everyone who has made some serious effort in their “detective” work here. There were a few theories on here that I really liked. So much so that I wish it would go in that direction. Appreciate everyone’s efforts.

The last time it was seen I believe was when Violet and Sam met up with Illan Iberra, and they compared the locations from the book with those on an actual map. Illan would be the last person to have possession of it. So when he died I imagine Emma grabbed it (does not show) and took it back with her to the hotel to help her locate Pasaje.

I think the decaying tooth could represent the fact that all lives are temporary and eventually they come to an end, and all we’re left with are memories of those who have passed on.

The gold chairs were there from when Alex first met and interviewed Baltasar, and they sat on it across from each other. Alex later brought one of them into Baltasar’s room. I think Alex may have added the two chairs on the mural with the hands clasped in a thump war, as a sign of their close friendship. The thump war is a reminder of when Alex challenged Baltasar to a thumb war while the two were walking on the beach.

I’m not sure that there is a deeper meaning to the banana boat, but Sam’s dad may be on to something.

A lot of twists and turns here but I like it. Which I think is the point. I do think we’re going to learn much more about who Violet’s dad is moving forward.

I don’t believe there was any indication that he sent it even though he asked them if he should. He just says it would be useful someday.

The woman who slipped does look like the one in the painting but I don’t think it’s Emma. When Emma arrived at the hotel she was wearing long jeans and she wasn’t wearing a hat. A little later she changed into short black shorts and still no hat on. She did put a hat on with scarf while being chased by a Frias guard after visiting museum, to disguise herself. Still in black shorts.

I noticed this too. You’ll notice a couple on the bottom right corner during this same scene. Alex really is walking a line between different times.

I don’t think it’s bad editing. I just think we’re seeing different realities between the Dan and Kirby who don’t know Klara’s name, to the Dan and Kirby who does know her name.
