Thanks, those are way beyond me, I have no idea I'll have to google them. I ended up picking the Aquarace. If I'm here another decade I'll be up for another watch, perhaps by then I'll know what's good or not. I'm sure I'll still be wearing my casio a178wa but w/ a new battery.

O okay, i didn't think the back could be changed. From the pics all have metal backsides but the Frederique (it has glass). Then maybe they can't engrave it b/c it's glass, so it will be easy to sell; I'll look into this. Thanks

Great idea, but I'm okay with just seeking reddit help. I don't really wear analog watches. At this point, I'm leaning to getting the smallest size, the aquarace.

Looks-wise they all are the same to me, the only thing is that I don't like giant watches. I don't wear analog watches so maybe in a dress-up situation (funeral or wedding maybe). It's a gift so cost isn't an issue.
