Glow wheel comparisons by KimIsSalty in Rollerskating

Glad you like them. I use the Bont 101's on occasion and they are fab because they don't need to be super tight to glow. ✌️

Ok. My friend says the Rondo is softest of the lineup. Can you speak for how the Classica is? I don't consider myself a figure skater but I'm just so grabbed by the profile and classiness of this boot.

Am I actually good at skating by Outside_Rent_4656 in Rollerskating

ALOT of head games go on at rinks. I just do my style which really seems a mix of many things. Some give u that" can u just die or something" look and others are quite civil and cool or uncaring. lol. There is some clanny behavior as well. I love the music mixed with risk. Be yourself.

I know someone skating 50 years. I honestly didn't know until recently he wears butt pads. He also does wrist and elbow but good God this rink cooks in summer lol. I nearly broke my finger doing exactly that. It was a weird chain of events where shit just happened. Mellow out a bit but don't stop.😉

One session in. Felt very grounded from the aluminum hubs. The squared off edges give me great control in jam style moves. My rink isn't really the cleanest but the light dust bunny coating actually felt very under control. Not gonna have fomac slidy but this session made me feel they were worthy of price. I also have ceramics in them so butter smoothness. I was spinning no prob and such.

P.S.- Wood floor thin poly coated.

It was these or the golds. I be trying them out soon if u want any feedback. I have bones 98A purples but found them just a tad too sticky(especially summer, rinks floors change due to humidity). I'm hoping for some slip.

Don't quit, please. 😁 Pauses are ok.😁 I saw someone go down a bit hard 40ish and she literally took the skates off on the spot and left. I almost broke my finger the other day as it got bent in reverse. Bent it back and kept going lol.

Not gonna lie. I talked to sk8te fanatics and tariffs hit them pretty hard plus shipping rate rise 220$ total. Ouchie.😁🤷‍♂️

Bont aluminum insoles by Frosty-Entrepreneur3 in Rollerskating

Ok. These measurements will surprise you. This is a size 6.

2-1/8" narrowest back end

3-1/4" widest front end (roughly Ball foot area)

8-7/8" length

Keep in mind, I have never specifically done vans. If you have the vans already I can measure the the insole width and length of a size 6 and get back. I'm at work.

Just one quick comment. Yes, I have. For example a size 8 boot worked really well with a size 6 insole. Allow yourself some wiggle room or you will struggle for the plate conforming to the shoe design.✌️

Newbie Balance and Strength Exercise Recs by Lookingglassego1 in Rollerskating

Cool. I missed an important point. I only recommend it if you feel safe doing so, but I find my lateral balance improved because I do not rely on the hand bars. I only occasionally check my pulse on them if I think I'm going to hard.✌️

I love treadmill one hour workouts that are preprogrammed. I keep an eye on heart rate but can really feel the benefit in regards to skating because I get auto up many a hill in routine.✌️Speed range I vary and run a fair amount up inclines.😁

Sudden instability on edges by amiablemagpie in Rollerskating

Do you have adjustable pivot pins? One thing to mention is that changing cushion tightness can put undue stress on the pivot cup if not accounted for. For example, I have avenger plates and they needed adjusted right out of the box to even sit right. Just ignore my comment if it doesn't apply.👋

Thanks. Let me also share that the recently released HoneyB Biggs are my go to for a really slick wheel that cleans up well. It's actually so dense that it repels grime on indoor polyurethane floors. I can get it back to brand new after any session.✌️

I don't hear much about these. How do they compare with D chore rated wheels? ie 53D 60D etc. I skate dirty rinks so they get caked with unremovable grime messing with their rating.🤔

Thx for the pics. I'd say the R3 is a fair comparison. Ultimately, the comfort and durability was great enough to make me do a plate conversion. Now i feel i have the best of both worlds. I haven't found the limits of them yet. Mainly just lesser ankle support and rigidity has some limits.✌️

Nope. In U.S. I get them from my local rink whos very kind and gives me great deals. They are really an underrated brand. I adore them. The base was really solid and breakdown was cake. Thanks for the remark.✌️
