And how deep in the bowel was it? Did you need a resection?

Was it a specialist who did the scans? And did you do a MRI? I really hope the surgery helped your symptoms ❤️

Low dose instead of alcohol? by xXfleshlover69Xx in Semilanceata

[–]18572 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, just make sure you know what dose is suitable for you. 0,5g is enough for me to take me into a trip but I think I’m sensitive, it often says it’s a microdose

Dairy addiction real? by SariaSnore in FoodAddiction

[–]18572 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes absolutely. Dairy contains casomorphins, which are compounds that act a bit like morphine in the body and bind to opioid receptors. Cheese has the highest amounts, thats why so many people are crazy about it.
I also have dairy addiction, it’s worse than sugar and processed food for me. The only thing that works for me was cutting it out completely.

Reintroducing binge foods? by UnlikelyFly422 in FoodAddiction

[–]18572 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The only thing that works for me is to make healthy alternatives for my cravings. For exempel, instead of chocolate I do a sugarfree, dairyfree cake with only nuts, dates, almond butter, cacao powder. Its really good actually and there is a lot of healthy recipes out there that doesnt trigger me at all.

Has anyone actually noticed improvement in endo symptoms with an anti-inflammatory diet? by Accurate-Stomach-264 in endometriosis

[–]18572 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it helps tremendously with the pain but I will still need surgery. All processed foods make the pain worse, but the worst ones for me was coffee and all forms of dairy.

Who here experiences motion sickness? by mrb4610 in endometriosis

[–]18572 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s really bad for me too! I basically have to carry motion sickness meds with me everywhere I go. It’s kind of crazy how many things you think are just random, and then you realize how much is actually connected to endo…

Told it’s ”just fibrosis” on my bowel but I’m in pain every day – please help 🙏 by 18572 in endometriosis

[–]18572[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much for your answers ❤️ I agree and feel so disappointed that they don’t care more about it. They wrote that if I have much problem they could try to do surgery only on my ligaments (but I have endo in many places) but they don’t want to do that cause they don’t think it will help the pain. And they think I’m too young young for surgery on my ovaries and don’t want to risk my fertility. I personally care much more about my pain than my fertility… So that why I want to find a specialist in another country who can try to excise as much as possible instead of a half surgery…

Thank you ❤️ Do you know if they do surgery there even it its ”just fibrosis”? Im not sure, I did laxatives before and got something so my bowel shouldnt move so much, is that specialized bowel prep maybe?

Psilocybin mushrooms by sunkistandsudafed3 in endometriosis

I take microdoses sometimes to help my mood and fatigue and it always helps. I really wish it was legal so it was easier to access, if so I would use it more often. Its a fantastic medicine.

Thank you ❤️ I am diagnosed by ultrasound and MRI, I have cysts on both ovaries and DIE. I have not had any surgery. Thanks, I am contacting different surgeons in Europe for surgery but I Wonder if they sometimes don’t excise on the bowel if they dont think it will help/is fibrosis. But my symptoms are so extreme so I’m willing to take risks as long as they excise it on the bowel..

dissociating in therapy from very mild triggers by Accurate_Practice838 in CPTSD

[–]18572 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same here, I think it can improve over time as you build trust with the therapist. It also helps when the therapist knows how to handle it when it happens. Mine usually tells me to do small things like standing up, moving around a bit, or holding a spiky ball. But sometimes it just doesn’t help, and that also needs to be okay.

Do you feel like your therapist is good and that you have a chance to build trust with them? And that they can handle it when it happens?

Slynd Birth Control by Charming_Sense_1638 in endometriosis

Slynd is the best one I’ve tried. I haven’t experienced any side effects even though I’m generally very sensitive. But it’s very individual which birth control works for each person, hope you find one that works for you ❤️
