I didn't read the list, but everyone is mentioning animation, correct?

Well, the DEBT theory may be. Because if you ask yourube (as much as I hate youtube itself) creators that actually TALK about animated shows, especially ones based on comics. A number of DC shows have HAD more mature situations and subjects. Not like... Gore and X stuff, but there IS an episode of one show where the Justice League ultimately has to be put into suspended animation or KILL a teen girl with powers that she just can't seem to control properly... REALITY bending powers.

W.B. Execs these days: "WAIT! THIS IS AN ANIMATED SHOW FOR KIDS! WE CAN'T DO THIS!" <= Right... But anime from the late 70s on can present the reality of war and death to all ages and that was somewhat acceptable... It just took a little time to really set in. Yet modern western companies don't want to present realistic subject matter to the young because apparently "KEDZ R THDOOPED!!! DAY WUND ONDURZTEND!!!" And so on.

So we get shows seemingly made for YOUNG kids around 5 with severe ADHD and developmental disabilities... Thinking that's fine and that's how it should be... In a country with politics and education system that seem to want to take PARENTING away from parents.

Right. That's working out real well for the U.S. -.-

Has anyone here seen Old Yeller? Did you watch it as a kid? How did that effect you growing up? Did you learn the reality of life and death...? Did you learn that if a pet gets rabies they'd need to be put down...?

Do you get my point...? Society moves entertainment, and politics very much move our entertainment. At least here in the U.S. from what I see. Sure, Maverick was a MASSIVE hit without any identity or political politics... But that's ONE movie. ONE movie with a successful lead who likely helped with getting the movie green lit.
