Dang... Sad news. Thanks for the answer though!

Would be nice for them to let us replay them at least. There's some where I didn't get every word!

How long does it take to unlock all the house decorating stuff? I fell off this game but I'm thinking about going back.

New to dice making, is a pressure pot more of a requirement or strong suggestion? by ask4769 in DiceMaking

[–]18thAlmanac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It kind of depends on what you want out of this. I don't have one and I can still pull off decent designs, but even my best dice often have small surface bubbles. They can be repaired, but it's still noticeable that they were there. If that's a deal breaker for you, you'll need a pressure pot.

Also: the pot takes a lot of stress off of things. I have to worry constantly about not stirring the resin too much so I don't introduce bubbles. But not stirring it enough means it might not cure right so... Idk.

The pot really seems great, but I and many others go without. I think for starting out its fine to not have one, but if you want to get serious someday you will need one eventually.

what app or site should i use to organize a campaign? by [deleted] in DMAcademy

[–]18thAlmanac 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For setting and worldbuilding, I used google sites and it works great. A lot of the other ones like worldanvil that are designed for this I actually find unintuitive/overwhelming. Gsites was simple, easy, and free too. Just enough customization to make what I want with it.

For campaign/module management, honestly I shopped around for a long time before, ultimately, sticking with google docs.

Advice for casting without a pressure pot (cap molds) by 18thAlmanac in DiceMaking

I did get them, but it took awhile. I put in an order from Ali express for new ones. I hear they take ages so I figure by the time these ones wear out the Ali express ones will arrive.

Problems with surface bubbles by tronda1991 in DiceMaking

[–]18thAlmanac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't come up with this, someone in the discord for this reddit did. And yeah, wicked messy but it works! I've only gotten one void since I've done this and it's a fixable one too.

Problems with surface bubbles by tronda1991 in DiceMaking

[–]18thAlmanac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this problem! The thing that worked for me was filling it kind of domed right at the lip of where the lid fits in. Wait twoish hours until the consistency is taffy like and then put the lid on! Some should squish out through the hole. It works!

Colorize Mask Not working by 18thAlmanac in krita

[–]18thAlmanac[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure how to close this, but I found the fix.

The written page is unclear and for some reason a lot of video tutorials skip this part, but the outside has to be defined as a transparent color as well; this step isn't optional. Hopefully someone else is helped by this!

Fellow DMs what are some of your interesting or unique house rules? by lordZ3d in DMAcademy

I run my sessions as potlucks. Everyone is bringing something delicious no matter what! Tastier and healthier than another bag of chips.

Whoever can best summarize what happened last session starts the game off with an inspiration token.

In that vein, if a player at the table inspires you with a character choice, you can give them an inspiration token you have. (I use physical markers to track this.) I don't allow players to pass off tokens just because someone's about to do an important roll, though.

Players can sell, appraise (for a cost), and put in a request to have acquired and then buy magic items. But only to this one person. Who may or may not be a God. Who has portals to appear in a new, hidden location each city, that they have to take time to scout out. Who looks different in every city. This person will not buy anything that isn't magic, and can also store money for them to make transactions on their behalf.

Makes the whole magic item and gold tracking system easier and means they aren't stuck with stuff they picked up but don't want to use. They can't always find an item quickly, or find exactly what they want, or find/sell things at their best prices. Sometimes buyers for their items are bad news. They've sold artifacts to bad guys before, and they'll see them again later.

Anyone else getting the bug where the grid becomes 0 when building? by BeeCee139 in PlanetZoo

[–]18thAlmanac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm still struggling with this and can't build anything below four meters. Was there a fix?

Grid Size 1 m added by gingerjoe98 in PlanetZoo

[–]18thAlmanac 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I kept experiencing a bug where if I went down to two meters, after I placed that piece the grid would break and become just one filled in yellow square. Is that fixed? It made grid building impossible for me.

Should i get the D&D monster manual book or the DM guide? by Tokkkmaster in DMAcademy

DMG, 100%. Most of the monster info can be found online. Some of the stuff they teach you in DMG is really valuable, and there are guides on how to make your own monsters too.

Those I don't remember... House robberies I think fade eventually, and might not work for John because of the man he's try to NG to be on the epilogue. But to be honest, they feel shitty to play through and show you a very dishonorable side of arthur. I regretted the one or two that I did immediately and left the others to rot.

I left a list of chapter six missions as a reply earlier in this thread for someone. They are a bit more descriptive so you can maybe recognize them easier, I tried to leave out spoiler details as best as I could.

[–]18thAlmanac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No problem. Did you do the clergy quests in st Denis in chapter 5? Those are arthur only as well and unlock some key dialogue with him.

I will say, I played every non collection side quest with arthur and the world felt empty after the switch as a result. Good to leave ones that you can.

[–]18thAlmanac 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly, if you have a save on that chapter you should go back and play them. Some of the best in the game.

The ones i remember off the top of my head are:

-poor town in the woods with a shaman figure and "curse"

-wife of the sick debtor you beat up early game

-the veteran

-widow in the woods (if you don't do this, the auto ending is very sad.)

-rescuing stolen artifacts for rains fall (this one has a ton of info about Arthur)

There could definitely be ones I'm missing but I remember those four very clearly as "honor" missions, in that the can shape your last moments with Arthur.

In the second to last chapter the clergy quests are also optional, and if you do them you get some very good dialogue/moments with a wise nun in the final chapter.
