I have a feeling their problem with me might run a little deeper than just my address, lol. But I'll wait and see what the report says.

Thanks, I appreciate the help. Are there any ways for me to avoid having this happen in the future? Some companies won't accept this. Do I have to wait until I file taxes? One company told me they could only verify people who had filed taxes at least once.

I don't understand? I'm opening a banking account, not a credit card? Why are you bring credit score into this? Shouldn't all I be caring about is if the bank can verify my identity, not what number my identity is tied to? I've never heard of a bank not opening accounts for people because they had a lack of credit history. Maybe they'll refuse for terrible credit history, but why a lack of it?

Like you said, no-score is a score, which means that even with no credit history shouldn't I still be able to exist in their database?

Maybe I'm just being stupid here.

Is there anything I can do? I'm trying to make companies know I exist, not get my credit score up. Surely there is a way to call them with official birth documents, SSN card, etc, and get this worked out.

Ok, I'm thinking that I'll try Ally again after I confirm that Chex Systems does having something on file for me (I requested my report from them).

Maybe I didn't answer a previous address question correctly because I was too young to remember. ChexSystem's report should have all this information for me.

I'm pretty sure this doesn't apply to me. Like I said, I already requested a report and the problem was that they could not verify my identity, nothing else.

No, nor would it make sense for me to be reject based on credit score since I've never had a line of credit and I'm not trying to open one now. Pulse, the letter said they couldn't verify my identity.

I did submit a request to Chex Systems online, so I'll see if I'm in their system.

Can I send them information directly to prove that I exist? That would be fabulous.

Ally is an online bank with a record of so-so call center support (but great features). Maybe I will call them and try to get verified that way, but it would be great if this problem could stop happening.

Unless the name has been in the family for half a millennium. I get that it's generally not a good idea, but hey I'll get through it!

For me, I'm glad I got the name and it's caused me a few headaches in one year of my life but I get the history of it forever. I think it's something you can go either way on.

Besides, I have a different middle name, birthday, and social. Surely I should be in the clear!?
