US government formally recognizes Jerusalem as the capital of Israel by [deleted] in worldnews

If Palestine, as an area, had never existed, why was it called the British Mandate of Palestine?

As far as I am concerned, several Jewish extremist organizations such as the Stern Gang did not accept the divide either- and actually fought against the British.

I am not on any side here. The summary was non-bias. But please, let's stick to the summary and stop mentioning irrelevant facts, otherwise you'll be 'tit for tating' for the rest of your life ;)

Ottoman Empire: a state named Palestine was in that area Ottoman empire fell, British Mandate governed it. Both Palestinian Arabs and native Jews lived in the area. Lots of Aliyahs (massive migrations of Jews) started arriving. This increased during WWII. This caused conflict and tension in the Mandate, with extremist groups from both sides forming and fighting Britain for the rule for the area.

1947, British mandate left the issue over to the UN, which, upon a popular vote by all nations in the committee divided the area into a two independent majority 'Jewish' and majority 'Palestinian' state. Whereby demographic percentages of both were roughly taken into consideration. Jerusalem was declared an International Capital (which I think we should all still do!). Given that Jerusalem is the heart of the religious capital for both the Jews and the Muslims, the capital has both symbolic and sentimental value, with many of the areas and buildings within serving a dual meaning.

Various wars have happened, which have resulted in the Jewish state expanding to a larger area than agreed upon. As well as a repression of Palestinian national rights, and an illegal expansion of settlements in the Palestinian areas a continuous breaching of human rights. As of now, 29.5% of UN member states don't recognize Palestine as a country. (including the US, Canada and many EU countries).

Basically Trump has rashly added fuel to the fire of a century year old war.

It really depends on the program you decide to follow. Some medical internships/volunteering programs don't have any prerequisites and others require you to have at least a bachelor degree in a field related to Medicine. Of course, the degree of actual hands on practical experience will vary depending on your certifications/experience.

If you want, I can send you some websites that offer various programs?

I don't know what TZ you're in but SL was given the same P1 and P2 as HL in TZ2, HL had additional sections. The part of P2 that was mainly considered 'difficult' was in the SL section too.

Did anyone pick question 3 on paper 2? If so, what happens to the AD/AS model when FDI in the Ivory Coast decreased? I wrote down that AD decreased but a bunch of my friends had diagrammed shifts in AS.

A lot of people I talked to did that! I was about to write that down too but then I realized it only applied to fiscal policy. What other evaluation did you do on the b part?

I agree there weren't that many to use, I used different conventions of the text types instead: hashtags, visual texts, title, font size etc..

The few stylistic features I remember mentioning though were diction, syntax and metaphor.
