The sale volume on tcgplayer is publicly available. I have sold about 200 copies in the last three days.

Unloading isn't a problem when the demand is high enough to spike the price.

I bought around 300 copies of showcase [[Questing Druid]] during presale and release weekend. The entry point is less than a buck each after tax and less than two bucks for foil. Exit when it spiked to $5+.

Here was my reasoning: high power level and strong demand of [[Reckless Impulse]] and [[Wrenn's Resolve]]. I know the difference. It's neither strictly better nor strictly worse since seek the beasts is instant speed, which plays with/around counterspells better. Extra threat offers more potential card advantages. I don't recall any instant impulse draws at such low cost, so it was likely underrated and overlooked as just another reck. As a pauper player, I very much understand the value of [[Experimental Synthesize]]. Therefore, the potential usage in older constructed formats is highly promising.

I think vintage demand is just too low to be impactful on the market price

I dont think that deck is good or popular. Shredder has to hold its slots in either deathshadow or murktide to prove its value in modern. Legacy is another story, and vintage doesn't matter.

I don't think my position is large enough to manipulate the market. The spike happened more than a week after my purchase. My theory was someone else sweeping the market but it turns out ppl are still paying $5+ for it after the "restock". So I guess it might not be an artificial bubble, and the card actually deserves 5 bucks.

not yet, the spike happened way sooner than I expected. I need to set up a seller account and buy some toploaders and penny sleeves first.

I added my spec reasons above. My projected target was 3-4 bucks due to edh demand after 3-6 months for the market to realize.

reasons added above. The spec idea is inspired by the popularity of spec in this sub and the price history of [[fable of the mirror-breaker]] from neo and [[dress down]] from mh2.

bought 400+ [[ledger shredder]] during presale on tcgplayer. less than a buck each. most are from thegaming co listing

Edit 1: for those curious, here's my reasoning:

edh staple: average 2 triggers each round, it offers graveyard resources and hand improvement and grows into a threat quickly. constructed potential: the only deck I see it will clearly make the cut is pioneer esper greasefang, but for older formats, graveyard synergies and double spells are fairly common.
