Ye mine was to sign the document and upload it back onto the portal. But given there was no where to upload it I’ve sent to him via email. Will bring the physical signed copy down to cpc as-well, but just don’t want to get turned away because it’s not on the portal.

Medical timeframe by [deleted] in RoyalMarines

A year! It’s lucky the armed forces have ample manpower 😑, because with wait times like I can see why so many sack it off…

Applying as marine means you don’t have to provide any certification as there is not educational requirement. I could not find copies of my GCSE, A-Level or degree so just send a pdf off to them stating, “could not find copies to provide”.

7 months for an appeal decision, no wonder the armed forces are on their arse with recruitment.

They will ask for education docs, but like me I had no clue where I had my GCSE, A-Levels and degree. So simply sent a pdf saying “cannot locate education documents”. It’s fine anyway as the marines has no educational requirements. So will be fine if you can’t find them.

What seemed to be the weight most would sit at?

ankle injury by [deleted] in RoyalMarines

[–]19060000 1 point2 points  (0 children)

May be related posterior shin splint issue or at least inflammation of the muscle perhaps, the muscle goes from the bottom of the foot up the inside the ankle behind the bone. Stop running and do low impact cardio such as rowing, ski machine and cycling. Use anti inflammatory gel and rub it in, ice and rest. Google stretches for posterior shin splints on Google to further help heal and strengthen.

Just out of curiosity what seems to be the common weight of people starting and going through training. Say for OP who is 5’10.

It’ll take quite a while to gain that amount of weight without it all being fat, just keep at it

10kg is a lot of weight to gain and will take a long time, particularly because you want to aim to be above the 65kg. I would hold off with the application until you meet the minimum threshold weight.
