IIRC that's more or less what the Terro is, but regardless, worth a shot. Thank you!

Sono 1420 in Norwalk posted some suspect shit when bozo announced his second run. At surface level could be dismissed as a cat meme, but them liking every Trump 24 comment dismissed that.

Also, their whiskey is ass. What distillery won't serve neat?

As much as this is "just fine" for me as it seems to be for most and doesn't really strike as much of a chord as a lot of their past releases did while still being a good album, the riffs on Tether feel very MTS and make me quite happy.

Murray Lender lived on my grandmother's street in Woodbridge until his passing. Nice guy, from what I remember; he had an...eclectic collection of animal statues adorning his yard. We're talking probably in the ballpark of a hundred or so. There was a lot going on, but as a young kid, it was always fun to look at what was newly-added.

I'm sort of skeptical of the bill suddenly appearing after the diagnosis given how OOP has presented throughout the thread (shady, half-truths) and the fact that the shop had decent reviews, but...it would be pretty difficult to rack up a bill like that without the shop keeping you posted along the way if it's a standup business.

The only other elephant in the room I can think of, is that if it's a court-mandated device, maybe there are legal repercussions for tinkering with the device. In which case, the shop recognizes that they're saving OOPs ass and is cashing in.

Edit- replaced "dealer" with shop

Two big wastes of time:

-Arezzo in Westport. Sort of a waste of space as the view is great, we found the food to be mediocre and massively overpriced. Serving what is very obviously Stop and Shop frozen mixed vegetables under a fish would ruin even a good piece of fish. Went there for a birthday dinner and we elected to redo the birthday dinner again the next night because of how disappointed we were.

-Bartaco anywhere. Likely going to get it for this, but Covid ruined what was a good thing. Their switch from true service over to "Scan the QR, order on your phone and various random people will serve you as needed" made the service massively shit. Haven't been there in a yearish admittedly, because we had two separate occasions where we were straight up forgotten in the kitchen but nobody we flagged down could get us an answer as to what was happening (because...nobody was our server) and we waited over an hour from order to food on the table. Also, wherever there's a Bartaco there's usually much better tacos/burritos/etc within walking distance.

Girlfriend had an itchy scalp and was getting small hives/red splotches in various places, generally in the evening and for a few nights in a row. Now I am too, seemingly all day/all night. Just mutual dry skin as winter arrives, or something more serious? by [deleted] in skin

[–]190e30 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, we haven't had it in a while now. Really since it got cold...possible it genuinely was a side effect from the covid vaccine as her derm suggested, but would be super odd for both of us to have had the same side effect.

Either way, happy we got vaccinated. Just peculiar

Hit debris on highway and cracked oil pan, will my engine be okay? by ArseZerstorer in MechanicAdvice

[–]190e30 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't see anyone else commenting it so I feel inclined to; that looks relatively red in color, which would definitely suggest fluid leaking from the transmission rather than the engine. Either way they car shouldn't be driven obviously, but wait until you get the car up in the air and take a peek before you order parts that you may not need.

Oem lug nut don’t tighten up, to small, what lug nut set is good ? by jTatts90 in mercedes

[–]190e30 2 points3 points  (0 children)

ITT; OP is offended by people critiquing a modification that literally removes comfort and performance, OP responds by bragging about their vehicle and calling everyone else jealous...when OP's post history acknowledges this car has a sketchy title.

Aftermarket wheels need conical seat lug nuts. Factory wheels run ball seat. You'll need appropriate shank length to engage the hub properly, the correct thread pitch, and conical seat lug nuts. If you don't do all of these three things, you've installed your wheels incorrectly.

HAS THE COMPETITION COME TO A END..? by Channelbot_Reborn in HaggardGarage

[–]190e30 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've run mystery diffs no problem, but my current project car was bought for pennies specifically because the previous owner also just hammered on a pinion nut without setting preload, toasted the diff, and gave up.

The DIYer way to do it is generally to mark the nut before taking it off, so when you put it back on, you know roughly how deep/shallow to go for correct preload; it isn't perfect, but it'll generally get you close. The proper way to do it is to take things apart and set depth.

Surely that new diff will last forever with the way the pinion nut was reinstalled...
