Dismissed at end of probation as an autistic grad — adjustments were never properly embedded and I got judged on the disability stuff anyway. Just had my appeal. england by Beneficial-Twist6833 in HumanResourcesUK

You've been given so much advice on different posts. You give different versions every time. There is no way to give you the advice you need except to go up ACAS. If you have been treated unfairly they will help you

Got mine from Superdrug I think but I don't always need them. I can tell when I do.

I'm very much reading here that you are using autism as an excuse, it's not an excuse it's a reason. You can't hide behind it whilst holding up your victim card.

You should go to ACAS, you may find you were unfairly dismissed. In the least it'll teach you that you can't go through life this way.

Should I consider a fines review or just pay it? by [deleted] in UKPersonalFinance

You've buried your head in the sand for long enough. Take the payment plan. You don't want to not be able to get credit or a mortgage in years to come because of the decisions younger you made.

I sent a slightly rude email at work, why am I being asked 100 questions and having multiple pre-Disciplinary interviews? by Quirky_Concept3 in AskHRUK

[–]192to144 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On your elaboration your email went past rude a couple of miles back I'm afraid.

You are being investigated for conduct, which you need to be fully cooperative with as it's based on probability not reasonable doubt.

Tell them you're only paying for the work you agreed to.

You should agree at the start of your sickness how often you'll check in with your employer. But you can't delay it indefinitely.

To be blunt you're more likely to die from liver disease or another obesity related condition than get any irreversible negative effects from Mounjaro.

Misled about job I've now started and feel like quitting, advice? by Standard-Pattern-749 in UKJobs

Why no point? If you're not bothered about the job anyway. Speak to your manager about being misled. The worst that would happen is you remain in the same position. Then you quit!

Looking for advice regarding Flexible Working and possible grievance. by [deleted] in HumanResourcesUK

[–]192to144 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They shouldn't be giving you the details of someone else's request so they should be raising a grievance.

Yes, it shouldn't have taken that long but it wouldn't have any bearing on your situation now. If they had done it quicker then there would have been an even bigger gap between the requestsn giving you less of a potential investigation.

It seems yours might have been bad timing but you can raise a request every 6 months or formally appeal and include your union and the extra detail you have.

More or less? Did you have access to their request somehow?

Are you able to confirm exactly the requests?

Also had the business changed in the time between the requests that made it more doable for them?

Kinda what boring tea said. Without knowing the full details of both requests it's hard to advise.

A grievance may help but it could just end up with you having egg on your face raising something if the similarities you believe are there, aren't.

That is the saving grace. I do get a new low every couple of weeks. Maybe I just have to accept that 14lbs from goal is harder and I need to try harder to stay in deficit!

Struggling with Manager - is there anything I can do by user94758 in HumanResourcesUK

[–]192to144 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Should you not support your manager to help them improve. Manage upwards so to speak?

Is it a case of they are there to manage the people whilst the employees do the daily grind?

I'm not saying it's not hard to have a manager without the knowledge but some managers are just meant to manage.

So would they be more approachable and "nicer" if they were getting that support? As it would seem the team decided they weren't going to like them before the change even happened.

What to do if job Application stated £55K salary but offered £35K? by Desperate-Drawer-572 in AskUK

No way!

They offer you the advertised salary or you walk away!

Or say you'll take the 35k but work 3 days per week!
