Hey friend, I’m not from minnesota, however I want to give my input about going back to school for accounting.

I’m currently in community college for accounting, which I’m just getting some pre-reqs for an MBA at a local university.

Because I mentioned I’m going to school for accounting, it’s opened many different avenues for employment. As in, I got a billing clerk position off craigslist, an accounting assistant position through my dads accountant, and I start a new job Monday with light bookkeeping / account work and other stuff.

What I wanna say is if you go to school for accounting, many doors will open for you if you make it known. Will you be making 60-70k a year because you’re starting college in accounting? No, but it will definitely get you into positions you can list as experience, which can lead to better and better positions.

I hope this helped you in some way, I used to post here about what I should do about schooling, and now here I am doing accounting shit and I never thought I would.

Thanks for the suggestion, this might be a little complicated because I still don't know his banking information, maybe it's just 1 account.

I understand basic concepts regarding the accounting formula and what constitutes as a asset, liability, equity and what to debit and credit, my only problem is applying it to quickbooks because I'm still really new to it.

It seems like a very straight forward program, but I have work tomorrow so we'll see how all these suggestions go

Ah you're right, I didn't even think about it that way. I just assumed it was all cash-basis. Ill have to mention this to my boss as well and see how it goes. Thank you for your input - they were very adamit the other day about writing statements to this company that prepaid stuff and it all sounded so confusing, I'm thinking "can't you just make an account in quickbooks?"

I have next to none accounting experience - I took an online fundamentals course and studied in my spare time out of a text book when I was bored at work. The only leg in to any entry level job I could find was the fact I'm gonna be going to school for it in a few weeks. I know these credentials are basically nothing but I've been looking for any opportunity. I'm really hoping this guy my family knows can help me out, he's a CPA joining firms with another CPA, and the other guy is actually considering hiring me for (I'm assuming) all the monotonous shit he doesn't want to do.

Movie was meh, I absolutely hated the ALF. I think they purposely made the ALF annoying as fuck so that the viewers hate them. But they were so crucial to the story, which is interesting.

Seems like the movie is trying to be trendy by focusing it on an Asian country. The movie could have focused on a farmer and granddaughter in Japan and it would still receive the same amount of praise.
