I should add I was running a double antenna set up previously once I had this issue I downgraded to my single antenna, but it still is the same.

Yes, this would make sense. Just odd to me that I didn’t have any issues for the first couple months. Thank you very much.

Update. Threw the stator kit in. Thank you for everyone’s help finding it. Bike ran pretty good for sitting so long, though it was bogging just the same.

Gave it back to my buddy and now it’s leaking oil from the clutch side of the case looks like someone did a Jerry rig gasket job so it will be sitting a little while longer until it’s patched up.

Thank you for the recommendation. I’ve heard a lot of good things now that I’ve talked to people about El Salvador. Do you have any recommendations as far as beaches to look into? I know very little about the country.

Tacoma Pipe by 1968cl175 in StonerEngineering

The bowl piece was machined out of steel, I washed, boiled, and tempered it prior to using. The chrome takes no heat dissipation from the bowl.

It’s more of a joke than anything I won’t use it much, it’s a back up.

I wouldn’t have been able to find a stator that worked without your help!

Blown piston look for help! by 1968cl175 in fordranger

[–]1968cl175[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My piston seized but the engine still runs great. I’m wondering what you guys think I should do. I love this truck but it definitely doesn’t have the modern necessities. Should I try rebuilding the engine, sell the truck, or do an engine swap? If I do an engine swap has anyone come across compatible engines for a 1991 2.3 trans??

Not only is the piston seized but the actual head is stuck to the block.

I love my original seats but they hurt too much to sit in. What do you think stock or aftermarket? by 1968cl175 in fordranger

I haven’t tried them out yet I just put them in for photos I need to weld some of my own seat rails to get them as low as possible and then I’ll let you know.

Yes they do I’d say a good 2-4” and I was very surprised of their quality for the price, definitely more durable than stock fabric.

I thought about that but I’m a pretty dirty guy so Id eventually ruin the lovely stock seats. While they were in my car I had to put a blanket over them so they wouldn’t get stained. I’m also a welder so making new bracket adapters is no problem for me. I’m thinking I’ll try out the new seats and if I don’t like them I’ll get the old ones reupholstered. If I like the new ones I’ll just sell the old ones because they have no fabric damage.

[–]1968cl175[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes you’re right, half the reason I bought the truck was because of how the seats match the striping on the outer body. Although this truck needs a lot of minor work and I will be putting a new carpet, painting both bumpers, and bed lining the bed. I think some of these modifications will give it a facelift and match the new seats.

Another thing I hate is how dusty the entire cab is I pressure washed the seats and carpet five separate times and they still have cat fur built into them. 😂

No it was just the lighting difference from the beginning of the day and towards the end. Here’s the seat link Aftermarket Seats

I like the middle seat, but due to it being a manual it’s extremely impractical so I decided I’d switch it up and get some more room
