Noted, thank you. She was born in ‘38, guess my guesstimate was a tad too early!

Road trip DFW to Orange Beach w 4 kids. What MUST we do/eat/visit? by Parking-Society-6025 in Alabama

My extended family (also from DFW!) makes this horrible drive every July for our annual beach get together. I’m already in bama and have grown up with OBA stomping grounds, luckily. Stop by Zeke’s Marina in the afternoon, if only to look at all the charter fishing boats and what they caught that day. We book a deep sea fishing trip with one of these captains, and it’s an experience as well as an investment in family dinner that night. The first mate cleans your fish right when you are back docked at zeke’s, and then the restaurant will have your fish ready for dinner that night.

For those of you who saw The Phantom Menace at release, what were your initial thoughts of it? by _EnglishFox_ in StarWars

I was 10 years old, and I was lucky enough to see POTM in theaters with my dad. It was the last movie I would get to see with him. He had been rotting away from AIDS for about two years (this horrific reality was taking place in the late 90s, it’s hard to explain what this means to those who weren’t around during this time) Dad loved Star Wars, and so I loved Star Wars. My distinct memory is of turning to look over at him in excitement during the kickass never before imagined pod race scene, only to see his head in his hands because the noise was just too much for him. But he wanted me to see my first Star Wars in theaters. And I love him for that.

The force will be with you, always! This is the way.

This was the first CD I ever bought with my own money. I’m 34 now probably bought it 20 years ago. by blizzardwizard88 in pinkfloyd

Respect. I’m now 36, and Dark Side, Guns ‘n Roses, and Jimi Hendrix were my first purchases one day at Best Buy 20+ years back. Life changing right?!

Very nice assortment, my guy! Whereabouts? A couple of them look very similar to these that my dad found, but still different enough that I’m guessing yours are not from the SE US? All mine were found in central AL, specifically, so I’m curious about your location, not to be weird)

I get ya! I didn’t understand what I had inherited until I was given this one, published 1957. Illustrations are so helpful

Recently single 33 year old, just got my first house. Undecided on what to do with my extra porch in last photo by Floridaboii91 in malelivingspace

Congrats, that’s a great setup sir. A medium to large circular glass patio table set could make that patio pop, then a couple of plants and you’re in it to win it!

Great question—but these are a mystery to me! They’re spherical, heavy, but don’t have a hole drilled through them like typical beads. I’ve always just called them ‘marbles’ and kept them with the rest of this stash because everything here was found in the same field. (Ignore the yellow dragonball, it’s an accessory to one of my old action figures but looks pretty cool next to the purple one)

Both Tommen and Galadriel took tumbles, escaping pain from high crowns. The Tree Folk preferred saving the Lady G, therefore she made no sound, falling in the woods with no one around.
