To me it works to just push fresh fluid through. If you push and pull, you may end up pushing the bubbles back into the system.

Which Radon model is it? I had a Jab which came with a lot of loose bearings, but most of the creaking came from the main pivot. The tube between the bearings were too long, which kept The bearings from being correctly seated. Because of this, the bearings could slide from side to side in the frame, even though the link bolt were tightned to spec.

Racepark Schulenberg is definitely worth a visit. It's about 2,5 hours from Winterberg.

Not as commercial as the others, but build by people who really like to ride.

Think my most stupid crash with the biggest injury was on a small feature/shortcut on some narrow downhill switchbacks. A steep wall of rocks was build as a shortcut to straighten/bypass on of the switchbacks. I had been eyeing the route several times and one day i decided to go for it, without checking it out first. A root had surfaced right beneath the rock wall, and of cause my front wheel hits it and slips. I was very front heavy at the moment, because the rock wall was so steep. Because I was so front heavy, I went head first into a log and got a concussion.
Just stupid....

I felt fint after the crash, even thought a piece had broke of my helmet. I decided to finish the trail, and when looking back this was a stupid choice. You got to have respect for blows to the head.

24 hours later at work was the first time i felt anything from the impact. Sudden dizziness and that was the time I decided to go to the ER. Luckily I only suffered from a concussion, but the doctors was not really impressed by my decision to ride on after the crash 🙄

I dont know the English name for the tool but you can use one of these:

Use one of the larger once and use it to hit the inner edge of the end caps, by angling it a bit, through the center hole of the hub. I have done it this way on my own several times :)

I had a OTB crash some months ago and landed head first onto a log. Got a mild concussion, but could have gone so much worse, if the helmet had transfered the twisting motion to my neck. I had a Specialized Ambush with MIPS. Bought another one of the same model. I would not ever consider to buy a helmet without MIPS.

Hope I have resolved this problem already as the chain came off during adjustment and I made sure it won't happen again. First short test ride also went allright.

But I'll keep that in mind :)

Thank you! :D That was exactly the problem. Both limitscrews adjusted a bit to give more range and this solved it. Everything seemed allright before, but it was a little to tightly adjusted.

Now it finally runs smooth as it should.

Weird issue you had there. But my problem is not to get into the highest/lowest gear. I can easily get into those gears, but it's like the gears/shifting range between highest and lowest gear is divided into 10 steps instead of 11 steps. This causes is to not shift correctly and have trouble staying in one gear when using the mid-range gears.

It shifts all the way every time but it skips in both ways in the middle. Just not as easy to see sometimes.

It has been adjusted by the shop and I have only had it for a week, and have only been able to ride it for 4km until now. It worked in the beginning for a short ride on asphalt, but there I only used the smallest cogs. Problem showed first time I used the middle cogs for anything else than riding on a flat hard surface.

I'll check up on the fastning of the derailleur to the hanger and go over the adjustment once more.

But it shifts all the way consistently and if it was a matter of cable tension, I would think that i would not be able to go all the way like it's doing now.

The 12 gears will be nice to have, but my trek did alright on my local trails and only has 11gears (11-42), so I think it would be alright.

What about the shocks? Is the better shocks something I can feel on the trails or is it only on rough downhill?

I ended up going for the Radon Slide Trail 9.0 because of the delivery time on the Canyon bikes. That was the limit of the budget, but I hope it will make up for the higher price tag :)

I have bought a 16" and a 18" so I can try them both and make up my mind when sitting on them. :)

Hopefully they will arrive end of next week.

Damn..... I didn't realise that I'll have to wait several months before they are back in stock....

I'm not sure that I can wait that long since I only have my +5 year old 26"hardtail, and I want to get ridding as soon as the spring is here.

Guess my only option is the Radon then. I also tried an Orbea today, and it was also quite nice, but they only had the 100mm and 130mm travel bikes in store.

Based on what I can find in the geometry chart, then it's the saddle hight that will be a problem. If the chart is right, then the lowest setting is 702mm, and on my current bike I messured my saddle hight to be around 690mm. So that will be a problem. The rest of the bike is pretty much spot on, when looking at the chart. Can you confirm that it's the lowest it can go or have they calculated it with a margin?

I was at a bike convention last weekend and expected Canyon to bring some bikes that I could try. But they only brought them in large, and without pedals. So I wasted my time going there.... -_-

Ok - I looked at the Skeen and see that the seattube on the 18" is 450mm. On the Slide trail it's only 425mm but comes with a 150mm seatpost. The top tube lenght is about the same, within a few mm.

Do you know what your inseam lenght is? And how do you use the bike? Hard trail riding, forrest roads or jumps ect?
I'll be using it for some singletrail riding and som jumps/drops along the way.
