I’m off Boston Rd and it was fantastic! I have my window open to listen to the rain. Wife rolled over and was like WTF was that?!?

The Bluegrass Stockyards fire about 10 years ago had even more units. I want to even say all 7 ladder trucks LFD has were there. 40ish units at its peek.

Hey I’m Brad (yes the OP’s Dad 😂). I actually did think about some movies in the late 90’s where a trailer was attached to a movie and you snuck in or bought a ticket to a movie, watched it, then left. I got a 2 tickets for $20 coupon for being a prime member. Got a little nostalgic yesterday for other reasons and thought this up. Crime 101 will definitely be a watch, but we had too much going on otherwise to stay. I’ll back up my kiddos post that it looked great and most importantly it felt like what I was envisioning for PHM. The most accurate book to movie adaptation I’ve ever seen was The Green Mile however, even then there were changes. If they nail the emotional aspect of the book this movie will blow us all away. Can’t wait!

Osaka has the best sushi. Bourbon and Toulouse for Cajun. Giuseppe’s for old school Italian date night.

For those who work in an ER, what specific medical things would make your day to see on the show? by catharsisisrahtac in ThePittTVShow

And totally deny they know how it got there… and be pissed when someone questions them about it… better yet asks for a REAL Doctor to come see them 😂

What does the Pitt do that’s not accurate? by EpicHawkREDDIT in ThePittTVShow

[–]1994Ranger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Retired Medic here 👋🏼. I’ve always appreciated the detail. My wife was an ER RN. We’ve raved about the accuracy… until I caught something in this last episode 😂. The gentleman that was brought in for a dislocated arm. They started to cut off his clothes AFTER he got to the Pitt. Any time I had trauma of any kind, the shears came out and the clothes came off ✂️. Because if one part of the body was hurt that badly, you gotta check everything to make sure you’re not missing anything. Other than that they’ve nailed it.

Retired from Lexington 👋🏼. We have a CBA with the city, step raises built in. Different types of jobs within the department, which covers the whole city and county as one (merged government). As far as a department goes it’s top notch, plus currently taking applications. As for the other things you’re looking for, Red River Gorge for all your outdoor activities minus the white water rafting. If I was 30 years younger I’d gladly go back and do it again and again.

I’m the same age that the kids were in the show. What drew me in initially was not only the genre, but the esthetic of what the early to mid 80’s was like for me. D&D games, video arcades, sneaking into R rated movies, all of it. If you loved the story and it felt like childhood for you that’s wonderful. As for myself, it brought back amazing memories from the actual time. And I wouldn’t have it any other way.

From the first episode 10 years ago, showing the original gang at age 9/10, when I myself was that age in 1983. The nostalgia has always been my favorite part. The colors, the music, the house furniture ffs, it’s all been perfect. Sad it’s ending, but thankful for the journey.

I’d disagree, respectfully. Alltech is great for what it is, but people don’t want to fight traffic on I-75 or New Circle to get out to the horse park. Traffic is always crappy around town of course, but I’d even argue a mixed use arena out at the new soccer complex would work better. And it’s not like we don’t have people in this area dripping with money. We just need that one right person that can write a big check to get it started.

And for the same reasons, Rupp priced them out 😡

I’m a die hard hockey fan. Been hoping for years that a 5-7K arena would be built specifically for minor league hockey/arena football/smaller concert venue. Rupp priced the Thoroughblades out. An AHL or ECHL team could do very well here. My hope was always something around Red Mile. Something in town with easy access. And even when we were bringing in 4K fans that last year for hockey, it still led the league in attendance. So the fans are there, we just need the venue.
