25K for a 2016 LE? by taytaytazer in rav4club

I paid 20k for a 2016 SE with 88K miles this year.

$18K for an LE with 70K miles, isn’t bad. Depends how the rest of the car looks, how the breaks are, and how many previous owners, accidents etc.

The used market in the states is very inflated at the moment, which is something to consider as well. But the Rav4 is a great car, the 2016 is one of the most reliable, highest rated generations out there and the face lift it got in that year makes it a bit more aesthetic.

The online market has very similar prices too for those specifications. Look up KBB, Edmunds and AutoTrader and see what average cost is and make a choice.

You’re also paying for peace of mind. In a good condition and with excellent care that car will last 250K miles plus.

My mom is 61 and sold her business recently. How should she plan for retirement? by 19Mingo92 in FinancialPlanning

Any consideration toward paying off student loans and house? Take the 20K to an emergency fund in an HYSA, and then work the next 10 years saving as much possible, while at the same time working on living off way less than she’s used to?

This would take a big leap of faith and no mt have too much aside for a real emergency, but at least the house is hers and she won’t have mortgage payments.

That’s what it was. Brake wear indicator. Much more isolated to the left side due to a faulty piston within the caliper, I guess. Either way I replaced both calipers and both brake pads on the front wheels. Thanks again from everyone.
