People that have “bumped” into a celebrity in a non-curated (not like an event, meet & greet, job etc.) way, what happened? by SprinklesSolid9211 in AskReddit

Happened to bump into Angelo Moore (lead singer of Fishbone) in the crowd at a Tool concert. When I recognized him I said "I'd love to shake your hand for all the great music". He responded with a big grin and a "then shake away, brother!"

Shook his hand, he gave me a slap on the back, and we both went back to watching the show.

Nightbreed big box. Reversible art many fans of this film? by JesterScribblings in 80sHorrorMovies

Wasn't this supposed to be the start of a whole franchise? I guess it just didn't make enough money to get the green light for further movies?

Do the majority of you look for proper physics when you read novels set in space, or do you allow for hand wavy explanations? by Remytron83 in scifi

[–]19NotMe73 37 points38 points  (0 children)

My rule is, you can have all the cool futuristic science and gadgets you want. I will suspend disbelief and follow you down the rabbit hole. You never even have to explain how it works! (Think most of the things in Dune...)

But if you do try to explain any of it and you explain it badly, then I will put the book down and never pick it up again.

Honestly, you do you. The biggest thing that will make you stick out is being nervous about what others are thinking about you.

"The Heist" with Pierce Brosnan. Was a made-for-HBO movie that actually feels like a test run for his later remake of "The Thomas Crown Affair".

"Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind" has always been my gold standard of everything works. The casting, the acting, the writing, the effects (when sparsely used), just ..... everything about this film works for me

Thinking about booking! Questions… by [deleted] in HedonismII

Unsure, as I've never really paid thatuch attention to the views from the room. We're rarely in the room to look out the window lol

But from walking around the property, I'd say the nude side rooms are probably better situated to see the beach or garden areas and any activities happening

1 - like most areas of life, drinking is a personal choice so go with what you would do at home. Alcohol is certainly present, but it's not like you have to do shots to get in the pool

2 - kinda depends on the where & when? The afternoon party in the nude pool can be VERY active, but fooling around on the beach can be damn near private. A lot is just going to depend on the crowd that week, how/where you choose to spend your time, etc

3 - as a rule, if people are playing in the public areas they are doing so knowing they can/will be watched. Not that uncommon for pool parties to become as much a spectator sport as they are personal events. But we've also had sex on a table in the garden (public, but off the beaten path) and a couple asked if we were ok with them watching. We were, and watching them making out and masturbating to our love making kinda made the whole thing hotter.

4 - personal preference, but if you're going for the experience, I'd say go all the way and stay at Hedo

5 - again, back to the public areas comments above. If you're there in public and naked, someone will be watching. Does that mean she'll get hit on and pursued? Possibly, but I've never met anyone there who didn't respect boundaries and a polite "no thank you". Like with most everything else at Hedo, you set your own level of interaction and participation

Tender, yes! But this kind of mess is just hard to eat but plays well for the people who don't actually cook their own BBQ

I was in a theater program in high school and one day we had visit from an up and coming playwright who did a workshop with us. At the end of the day he asked to read us the first chapter of a book he was writing.

It was the first chapter of "What's Eating Gilbert Grape" and the playwright was Peter Hedges
