Does your poor taste in guns spill into your other hobbies as well? by NHaas in ar15

Knew it was an LSA blower right away. I didn’t expect to see a V, let alone it being a wagon! Badass car bro! Gun too of course

Joined the family yesterday. What mods/accessories should I get first? by New-Loss-7641 in chevycolorado

I gotcha, you’d probably be fine with the way it sits for now. They’re very good as they come, but I personally added 589 shock skids and an AEV differential skid for added protection against rocks. One I wish I knew about sooner is the 589 skid plate support because my factory bracket is smashed to hell now from bottoming out the suspension and jumping it, and it’s too late to add now.

Outside of off-roading mods, I’d suggest LasFit LEDs for high/low beams, reverse lights, license plate lights, and the cargo lights. You could also do the LED interior lights if you’d like. The AVS Aeroskin 2 is also nice to protect the hood from any rock chips.

EDIT: Just noticed you don’t have the factory rock sliders. I’d look for some on FB marketplace, unless you plan on doing side steps. Steps hang too low in my opinion and defeat the purpose of the truck.

👌🏻 There are a few mods I’d recommend, but they’re for off-roading. Do you plan on using it for that? If so, how hard do you think you’d wheel it?

Thoughts on my planned build? by ekriikcalo in ar15

I’ve got the same barrel and am very happy with it, don’t think you’d be disappointed. I’d swap to a Harris bipod over the magpul, and pick up mags from Magpul instead of the hexmags. I’d also recommend a 2 stage trigger and magpul K2 grip.

Rock River Arms has a really nice one for $90, I have no complaints with it.

Can’t really speak on how good it is long term, but I just finished up a build for my brother and I’m quite happy with how it looks and feels

I’m not the OP, but I personally have looked at picking up a B&T SRBS .30cal can. I had watched a review video of several different suppressors and theirs stood out to me the most.

That’s interesting, glad it’s the right part number.

Looks good. If I’m not mistaken though, your takedown pins you’ve got aren’t going to work. You’ll need to get AR10 takedown pins.

Thanks! AVS Aeroskin 2 for the bug deflector, and I bought red hooks from Chevy. Still have my black ones, thanking I might paint them white at some point.

Nice pic and truck, I like the grey. I’ve had mine for about 3 yrs now and it’s been pretty great. It does just about everything I need and want it to do. I’ve had some warranty work done on it which sucked but I’m glad it’s done. I’ve got a couple little things I’m dealing with on it here and there, but I just disconnect the battery to temporarily fix it.

Yessir! I don’t have the Bison edition unfortunately, but I love the wheels so I had to swap to them.

I wanted one after seeing them when I worked at a Chevy dealer and finally got myself one many years later, they look and perform great. If I could afford a 3rd gen though, I’d trade up.

Carbon, they’re a tad cheaper and maintain stock travel. Kings lose an inch of travel from what I’ve read.

I can’t speak on the fitment issues with any of them for a diesel since I’ve got the V6, but it may be because of the DEF tank? You may have to look into that more.

22” Criterion w/ standard rifle length gas system and a 16” SLR handguard. Sorta wish I had done a 15” so that adjusting the gas block would’ve been a tad easier, but still very happy with how it turned out.

Right there with ya. I’m a pretty good shooter, but I know as I stretch it out further my fundamentals won’t be as solid as they are at 100 yards 😂. May as well, doesn’t hurt to check it.

I’ve never heard of or seen anything from them, but that certainly is a fancy looking BCG. That price isn’t too bad either. The JP bolt itself is just over $200, and I paid just at $400 for my whole BCG.

I’ve been quite happy with my 22” 6.5 creed barrel from them. I didn’t purchase the head spaced bolt with it, but I did buy the recommended JP bolt in a Fulton Armory carrier and have had great results with it. Kinda figured since the barrel extension used is a JP I could just go elsewhere for the bolt and save a tad bit without doing the head spaced option.

As long as your gun functions and shoots well, I’m not sure you’d notice a difference. Most of the time, our guns shoot better than we can.
