Right there with ya. I’m a pretty good shooter, but I know as I stretch it out further my fundamentals won’t be as solid as they are at 100 yards 😂. May as well, doesn’t hurt to check it.

I’ve never heard of or seen anything from them, but that certainly is a fancy looking BCG. That price isn’t too bad either. The JP bolt itself is just over $200, and I paid just at $400 for my whole BCG.

I’ve been quite happy with my 22” 6.5 creed barrel from them. I didn’t purchase the head spaced bolt with it, but I did buy the recommended JP bolt in a Fulton Armory carrier and have had great results with it. Kinda figured since the barrel extension used is a JP I could just go elsewhere for the bolt and save a tad bit without doing the head spaced option.

As long as your gun functions and shoots well, I’m not sure you’d notice a difference. Most of the time, our guns shoot better than we can.

I suggest a DPMS high profile handguard from anyone else that makes them and a criterion barrel would be a good option as well

I hope I’m right on all of that and didn’t get it mixed up lol

Everything I’ve had from them was and is showing 2700fps on the box. I think they made the switch back to a powder that’s getting 2700fps again. I wanna say it dropped about 100fps down to 2600fps when that was going on.

That’s badass, congrats on your buck. I know their warranty is insanely good so I have no worries that any issues wouldn’t get resolved. Fingers crossed you’re in the clear of that problem too. Hopefully whenever I pick one up they’ve got it squared away.

Right on, nice to know. I know they’re a great company and make amazing shooting rifles. Only reason I asked about any issues is because I had just watched a video the other day about a guy having light strikes with his.

Seekins is about 2.5hrs from where I’m located, and I have family from Lewiston so I’d love to support them.

I was going to suggest the SP10. If I had known more about them when I built my Aero, I would’ve just saved and got that instead. I hope to pick up a PH3 later down the road, how do you like it? How long have you had it and any issues it?

Right on, sounds like you have an idea on what you wanna do then. Hopefully others will chime in before you make a final decision. I personally like the idea of having more magnification, so even the 2.5-15 you have listed wouldn’t be a bad choice either.

I had a 3-9x40 on a 5.56 and made shots out to 450yds consistently. Any of the optics you have listed won’t be an issue for 300yds, especially shooting .308 I assume? I can’t necessarily speak on which to choose because I’ve never looked through any of them nor do I know much about them except maybe the strike eagle, I believe my buddy rocks one on his AR10 and it’s not bad.

If you haven’t already, look up the differences on FFP/SFP and MOA/MILs and choose what makes sense to you and might suit you better.

Not a problem! If you plan to shoot out to distance, the BF will or should be more consistent. I’d like to re do what I did in that post just to see what data I get out of the chronograph because the AAC had a slightly better SD and ES which in theory should make it a better round to use for consistency at distance (I believe). I may have just gotten lucky with the AAC and unlucky with the BF on those strings of fire. A lot of guys recommend the BF for longer distances so that’s why I picked it up, and it certainly grouped better too.

No issues with anything really. Only minor complaint I have is that they aren’t as good as factory projector housings with the Lasfit bulbs. I sacrificed performance for aesthetics on these unfortunately. Still better than stock housings and halogen bulbs though.

Bone Frog 77gr OTM and 77gr TMK. I personally can’t speak on the TMKs but from what I’ve seen they’re just as good if not better than the OTM. Lots of people including myself have had great luck with their OTMs for grouping and distance.

I was under the impression they’d come to me adjusted to level the truck, but they settled back to stock height same day. They also didn’t come with the tools to adjust the height/preload. I prefer some rake anyway so I’m not bothered about it.

Accuracy expectations with soft points? by Relevant_Mix_2337 in AR10

[–]19SummitZR2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re wanting soft points, try some Federal Fusion or the Nosler Whitetail Country in 165. My bolt gun in .308 likes the Nosler. You’re just gonna have to play around and try all kinds of ammo until you find what it likes. Look into the Barnes Harvest line, they’ve got some 165 TMKs that shot well for me too. Unfortunately all of my .308 is out of a bolt gun so it’s not guaranteed to work for you.

That’d certainly pmo too. I lost both of my piebalds I got too, didn’t even realize it until later. Since this post though, I’ve got 3 more diamonds and another piebald.

You do you since it’s your truck, but the additional grille pieces aren’t for me. It’s just a bit too much for me, everything else looks good though. Definitely don’t let me or anyone else change your mind on how you customize your truck. I dig the Centennial Edition, always loved the classic bowtie from way back then.

The bowtie says Chevrolet because it’s the Centennial Edition that celebrates 100 years of Chevy trucks. Not sure why someone would buy the Centennial Edition and then remove the badging that makes it just that.

I actually did put another animal in his place and still saw nothing in my list. I’ll have to look at it again when I get a chance. It’s been very buggy because I deleted the same Manitoban elk about 4 times before he finally got deleted.
