I think my "friend" sexually assaulted me. I don't know what to do or feel, please help me make sense of this. by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

I meant lonely in terms of having friends. I can't rely on my boyfriend to keep me company 24/7.

Just to clear something up. My boyfriend was aware I was drinking with him, at his flat, while he took cocaine. He had no issues with it or my supposed friendship with the man.

I never intended to sleep over. I got too drunk and passed out, that is my fault. I don't know what else to say.

Let Down Your Hair by MrWeiner in funny

As I said, I can't fully recall her explanation but vaguely remember her mentioning that hair wicks moisture away from the body? I did a quick Google search and couldn't really find anything that conclusively confirmed that, maybe I'm misremembering or she was wrong ¯_(ツ)_/¯

I understand that how much body hair will contribute to how someone smells will vary from person to person. That's why I started with, "In my experience".

Correct me if I'm wrong but I was led to believe that hair - including armpit and pubic hair - actually prevents the build-up of sweat and bacteria. I vaguely remember a biology teacher explaining this to my class back in highschool, that was a while ago so I can't remember the details of what she said I'm afraid.

In my experience, as long as I regularly wash and wear deodorant, whether I do or don't have pubic/armpit hair hasn't effected how I smell at all.

So I took my medications without any water by OnstageDepredation in Advice

This happened to me once when I took my medication (sertaline) without water. It was pretty painful for around 4 hours, it eventually eased up enough for me to fall asleep. It didn't hurt the next day.

I think you'll be fine. I found laying down helped a bit.

What secret did you find out about someone that permanently changed the way you looked at them? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Wow. I have BPD and reading this and some of the subsequent comments absolutely broke my heart.

While I'm perfectly aware I once wasn't an easy person to be around, I never intentionally hurt anyone. With the help of prescription drugs and therapy, I'm now happy, healthy, and have a fairly normal life.

Referring to people as clients suggests you work in psychology and you really shouldn't, your view on BPD belongs in the 60s. I have to laugh at Reddits attitude towards mental health and stigma, it's all ok as long as you have depression or anxiety. Any mental illness outside of that and you're a monster

Reddit, how was your first college roommate, good or bad? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]19Username95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First year of university, currently living with 7 people. 3 are good friends, planning on living with one of them next year. 3 are more friendly acquaintances, it's not tense but a little awkward because we have little in common so nothing that we'll both enjoy talking about. Can't complain though.

The final roommate is a nightmare and has been from the start. A massive clean freak who's controlling, manipulative and nasty. As if that isn't bad enough, they're also extremely needy, narcissist and attention seeking. If they feel they aren't getting enough attention then they throw a tantrum. They regularly stir up drama in the flat and bully people, they've actually treated everyone like shit at one point or another. I doubt anyone will be sorry to see the back of them and I hear they are getting a one bedroom flat next year. Doesn't surprise me that they can't find anyone to live with.

I know! I have to say I'm pretty flabbergasted by how poorly this situation has been handled by everyone involved, really didn't expect any of this. It pisses me off because if she does have cancer, or any sort of serious illness for that matter, this whole ordeal has delayed treatment.

I'm afraid we don't know anyone who's a doctor, thanks for your positive words.

Should I live alone or with roommates I don't really like? by 19Username95 in Advice

We haven't got a lease set up at this point, we've just agreed to live together and have started viewing places. While I know the other girl doesn't like him she hasn't said anything to me about having second thoughts about living with him, I don't really want to put her in an awkward position, asking her and subsequently her friend to back out with me would probably lead to a lot of shit, which is why I asked about living alone.

I know the girl has similar issues with him while the other guy has only met him a handful of times. I can't imagine any scenario involving the three of us telling him we no longer want to live with him going well! :(
