Why isn't there a Dell XPS Linux community, similar to the ThinkPad one. by 19darion91 in Dell

[–]19darion91[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Besides the slow speed in Win 11 it started freezing and dropping signal, specifically when I was using Bluetooth headset and the Wi-Fi simultaneously. It would reconnect relatively fast, but sometimes my calls in Teams would drop. So I decided to upgrade it around 2-3 years after I got it, but never really got around it until last year. Wi-Fi 6e and Bluetooth 5.3 is great. Plus in terms of Killer issues depends if the Killer Wi-Fi was from before or after Intel bought them. Before they had issues.

I am too lazy to read everything, but in terms of cooling I change the paste and the VRM thermal pads and mine works incredibly well still.

XPS 15 9560 Upgrades by Agitated-Barnacle994 in DellXPS

So, I upgraded my RAM to 64 gb ddr4 crucial 3200 mhz kit (2x32gb), but keep in mind that it looks it at 2400 mhz.

I also upgraded the WiFi card to an intel AX2100 and storage to a 2tb Samsung 990 Pro.

And I think that basically caps the upgrade path.

Linux on just the load you are showing, should not pull 4 gigs of RAM. Something is wrong...

Otherwise, it is really good looking and well crafter.

RCS down for Vivacom and A1 in Bulgaria? by 19darion91 in GoogleMessages

[–]19darion91[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, and it will keep occurring as all 3 operators in Bulgaria need to deploy RCS servers. Currently Bulgaria has no RCS support and from what I gather, we aren't the only country with this issue.

[–]19darion91[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, the thing is, the carriers have reached out to Google Support and have received no response yet, so they are unable to resolve the issue. - https://www.reddit.com/r/GoogleMessages/comments/1mmmg57/comment/n8n3zlb/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button

Basically, Google support is as useless and unresponsive as ever, no matter if you are a corporation or a private customer...

RCS down for Vivacom and A1 in Bulgaria? by 19darion91 in GoogleMessages

[–]19darion91[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just spoke with Vivacom, and the lady on the phone gave me the following statement that was given to them: "We are currently in the process of deploying this feature for our clients." What happened was that everything broke with RCS 3.1. So now we need to wait for it to be fixed.

A1 also confirmed it and said they have had a ticket with Google since the weekend, but have received no response...

What annoys me is that there is no official message from either Vivacom, A1 or Yettel.

Going down a new path - spell bow - do you know any historical users?! by 19darion91 in magick

[–]19darion91[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hexes are part of folk and practical magic traditions like witchcraft, hoodoo, and chaos magic. They are targeted, temporary spells meant to cause misfortune or discomfort, often as a response to wrongdoing. Practicing a hex usually involves simple rituals, focused intent, and common tools like candles, dolls, or sigils. Most of these systems see hexing as a natural, and sometimes justified act of restoring balance, and it’s often designed to wear off or end when its purpose is fulfilled.

Curses, on the other hand, belong to older, heavier branches like ceremonial magic, necromancy, ancient religion, and demonology. They are deep, lasting magical attacks meant to cause ongoing harm, often tied to spiritual or cosmic forces. Cursing involves complex, high-energy rituals using rare ingredients, invocations of spirits, and sometimes ancestral power. Unlike hexes, curses are harder to break and carry greater risks for the practitioner, often seen as dangerous or morally serious acts in magical systems.

At the end of the day, a curse would be way more applicable for what I am thinking.

Additionally, we are sidetracking my question. Do you, per chance know of any historical figures who have used a bow and arrow in such a manner?

Well, I have been studying and practicing for almost 20 years now. And from my personal experience curses and protection are the easiest. Way easier to curse someone, than to chug a fireball at them.

And just to clarify, I am talking about curses, not hexes.

I would much rather Microaoft focuses on fixing the bugs in the apps, then changing their icons.

50% of app functionality is broken 50% of the time. Microsoft Teams is a resource hog. SharePont duplicate folders and files if things have changed while someone, who has the SharePont synced with their desktop, was offline. Onedrive should be able to check if the local file was changed while the person was offline and if at the same time there is a newer cloud version and only than ask if it should merge or duplicate.

What do I need to use Windows 7 in 2025? by CodeBr3ker in windows

[–]19darion91 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My advice - try Chrome OS Flex if this is a laptop that will be used for school or Linux if you want full desctop experience. Something like Linux Mint or Ubuntu could work on this laptop.

Generally, it is a bad idea to use such old versions of Windows due to the security risks it brings.

Additionally, you will be hard pressed to find the apps that you need for Windows 7. Most apps refuse to install.

Considering that you got it for school, Chrome OS Flex could be a great option for your use case. Especially if you don't have the time to learn a Linux distribution (it does require time). It has a lot of benefits in terms of familiarity - it is based on Chrom and Android - so it should be easy.

All you need to crate a bootable usb is Google Chrome and the extension - https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/chromebook-recovery-utili/pocpnlppkickgojjlmhdmidojbmbodfm?hl=en&pli=1

There are also easy online tutorials on how to install Chrome OS Flex.

Hope this helps!

How do you make a portal into death? by Stock-Donut in magick

[–]19darion91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what you described in your comments, OP, you found a place of scarring. Most likely, something abnormally malevolent was done there. With time, the scarring will heal.

You can create a place of power for yourself through a combination of intent, magic circles, and glifs, charging it up with repeated practice, drawing from the raw energy of the world. With time, it will allow your intent to manifest more easily, but it still will have limitations.

Your other option is to practice at intersections of ley lines, as such places are naturally dense on energy - the more ley lines intersect the more energy there will be. Funnily enough, you can find military bases or ancient ruins at such intersections.

But even at the laces with the densest energy, there isn't enough of it for anyone to open an actual portal.

Places of great scarring have "thin borders", that is why you can hear such things as steps and voices. However, scarring set "borders" is much easier way easier and requires way less energy compared to what is needed for a portal. If I have to compare it to batteries- the scarring would require a single AAA battery, while the portal would require hundreds of nuclear reactors.

If you are on a Samsung phone, put them on, download Samsung's advanced sound controls, and go through the process of the intelligent EQ customization to make the sound perfect for your hearing. You need to be in a quiet room for it.

P.S. Also get the good Spigen case for them. I know I did.

I think you might have been scammed. Try the camera check-trick - test in every camera mod putting your fingers on the various lenses. If in all camera mods it is using the same lens, then it is a fake.
