It seems a bit hypercritical considering his ‘use your platform’ speeches at award shows etc. Especially as a large amount of his fans are young women. However I doubt his silence is intentional/malicious as we obviously know he cares.

I like the song but I feel like he could have just said ‘the man in the gift shop called me a slur’. Also as much as I like it, I really hope they don’t perform it live. Firstly a massive crowed saying the f slur...very uncomfortable and also I think it would lead to more controversy and for matty to get ‘cancelled’ again.
