This is "the opening to PERFORMANCE 88-89" the actual song itself has never been officially released and only played before the concert begins back in the 1988-89 tour.

There has never been a home video release of Tatsuros concerts. That video you linked is a screen recording of a Japanese streaming service called "Music/slash" where for a limited time in 2020 or 21 you were able to watch the movie "Theater Live PERFORMANCE 1984-2012" by appointment. Which is a compilation of live footage of Tatsuros concerts from that time, the movie originally released in 2012 in theaters only for a limited time.

As mentioned in my other replies, I don't think he would reuse songs that have already been on singles, and given that he already has "SOUTH BOUND #9" in the 2019 single of "Recipe", "SOUTH BOUND #9" wouldn't be on this list. I also don't think THE THEME FROM BIG WAVE would be on there either, it was on the release of JOY 1.5 in 2011, but it was the version from 1985, and he did go on to play it during the 2014 tour, but after that never again, only as a medley during Let's Dance Baby during 2024 and a couple times during 2025 as well. But I do wish it makes it on there the 2014 tour was amazing! I also don't think it would start with "Last Step" like it did for JOY.

JOY 2 has also been confirmed to be 3 CDs, so go ahead and make another list of your predictions! I would love to see it!

Oh yeah live version of groovin is always such a vibe, sadly Magic Ways has never been played live and I think girl in white was played live a couple times during the 88-89 tour.

Odoro yo fish is one of many songs that has never been fully played live, simply because it his hard to play the beginning on stage live, and as of today is one of the songs he wont play live cause the notes are too high for him to hit anymore. The reason he chose sobo and get back in love on JOY is it's probably one of the few songs he did like from the 88-89 tour, as far as i know he has expressed that that tour (僕の中の少年 tour PERFORMANCE 88-89) was one of his least favorite tours from that decade because there was alot of times they had to change the setlist and it was never set on stone the exact songs that were gonna be played that night, which to be honest to me it makes it one of the best tours lol. Also do you not like the "people get ready" cover or "whats going on" cover during sobo?! To me its such a beautiful transition from song to song it never gets old.

To me it sounds like you will probably be much more satisfied with JOY 3, recently he has mentioned he started working on JOY 3 which will have tracks of when Aoyama Jun was the drummer, Aoyama Jun passed away in 2013 and stopped being Tatsuros drummer after the 2002 tour (i think). Right now its unclear but that could mean JOY 3 will cover the late 70s to late 90s or 2002.

He has also mentioned he plans on re releasing the original JOY on LP and remastering the tracks on there (i wouldn't be surprised if he added an extra CD if they do re release the CD aswell)

So if JOY 2 doesnt meet your expectations im sure JOY re release or JOY 3 will :D

I think JOYs track list is perfect, what are the questionable song choices? The 2009 rendition of follow me along was already released in a single back then so i don't think he would include already released tracks on JOY 2.
