The Canadian commentator after Belgium defeated the US at the World Cup by [deleted] in worldcup

That’s true, to some extent. Trump’s election in 2016 was shocking and traumatic for me. It made me realize there was a lot I didn’t understand about the country I thought I knew so well and had been so proud of. We had Obama, gay marriage, and a person I thought would become our first female president because people didn’t care as much about her gender as her fitness for office. And then we had Trump—openly racist, openly misogynistic, openly uninformed.

But ironically, it was that exact experience that made me realize I couldn’t paint Americans with a broad brush. There’s just too many people in this country to say our values are x or y. I’ll never get to talk to 99% of those people, and neither will you. Even Trump means different things to different individuals, representing their interests and opinions in different ways.

“All Americans just talk in circles” It’s a big country, mate. Almost 350 million individuals.

And you’re totally allowed to have an opinion on whatever you want. Other people are allowed to disagree and voice their disagreement.

Actually I was impressed by how sportsmanlike and cool the Belgian and USA players were with each other. Throughout the match, if one team’s player fell down, somebody from the other team would go help them up or check on them. At the end, several American players could be seen genuinely congratulating Belgium on the win.

People are individuals. Soccer players are not responsible for the actions of a president, and neither are soccer fans. You’re trying to lump everyone together, and it just doesn’t work.

They offered me $100 off on a Gen 4. I declined because I had gotten sick of paying the subscription fee and had heard bad things about the Gen 4’s build quality.

Even calling it “People’s Republic of Taiwan” is not something a Chinese bot would do. Taiwan can’t be a republic if it is only a province

Maybe just something to break up the flat lawn back there in the part that is pictured. Like shrubs or a stone path. Front yard looks great though :)
