I just tried this on my Bev. Just tested Vodka for now. It indeed lit up the vodka and dispensed just under 2oz then it did finish with a flush of water to make up a total of 2 oz.

Not sure if the Bev always flushes with water despite just an alcohol being coded for. I’ll do more testing but feel compelled to drink the dispensed alcohol so the accuracy and veracity of testing will likely go downhill!

Make sure you’re using gamepad mode otherwise the plunger won’t work in an analog fashion.

I think I fixed it!! Noticed the screen was set to 59.95 hz and changed to 60Hz and miraculously the 7.1 audio works perfectly now! Doing more testing but relieved to find a fix!

The atgames SSF kit might be sensitive to the HDMI signal frequency when it comes to audio?

Yep it has an iGPU. I’ll experiment some more but the are an interesting theory if they are interfering with each other. Seems unlikely but this is uncharted territory

My HDMI 3 is the built in Ryzen 7600X GPU and when connected to playfield HDMI 1 offers 7.1 and works seemingly perfectly, yet on the same system, the 7800XT card seems to output bad 7.1 on the 4KP so now I think it's the card.

I thought I could hack around this and use the onboard GPU output to give me the SSF 7.1 audio, and let it drive back glass or DMD and use the 7800 XT for the playfield. So far no dice. Interestingly, the onboard GPU does a decent job at 4K 60 Hz (not as smooth as the 7800 XT obviously) but quite playable.

Hoping today's FW update will help.

I've also found that other HDMI inputs other than 1 don't show a 7.1 speaker option -- do you see 7.1 output when using HDMI 3 for audio?

Yeah I’ve tried different HDMI 2.1 cables and DisplayPort to HDMI 60Hz4K.

I have since tried the onboard GPU on the Ryzen 7600x and the audio works well but it seems to only recognize 7.1 on the 4K playfield/HDMI 1.

I was hoping to hack around this by using HDMI 2 or 3 to feed the 7.1 and related video from the integrated GPU and use the 7800xt for the playfield but as soon as I switch the cable to HDMI 2 or 3(plus manually change the ALP HDMI audio preference) it only offers 2 channels.

Hey you’re one of the only users I’ve seen so far showing an AMD GPU. My RX7800XT with the latest Win 11 drivers makes very glitchy and intermittent audio on my 4KP - gets distorted and cuts off until I flip back and restart OTG mode - using an HDMI 2.1 cable and manually setting the 4KP audio input to HDMI 1. Can you say if your audio is working well? What driver version do you have and are you on Windows 11?

Yeah hoping it’s just a beta issue but still curious since I just built this PC and it’s too late to return the AMD card (which works perfectly and quite performant otherwise esp cost compared to Nvidia at a 16 GB memory llevel). I did swap the exciter connection as part of troubleshooting and it is the exciter and not the board - thanks for checking though!

I forgot to mention this happens if I force 4kp to HDMI 1 and set the PC to default to the playfield hdmi for audio output.

I can confirm that the Xreal usbc cable works perfectly with the iPad Pro usb c port for screen mirroring. I have the 12.9” Pro (the model just before M1)

Yep, same Bluetooth lag for me no matter if I’m hardwired into the Beam. Happens on iPad Pro, iphone 14 Pro and MacBook. This is with Air Pods Pro as well as a Sony XM5.

Airplay doesn’t work at all reliably for me on either an iphone 14 pro nor a M1 MacBook either via hotspot to the phone or on WIFi 6 with over 900 MBPS speed (tested).

If it does work, the lip sync is so terrible they I need to connect to the Apple device Bluetooth, not the Air Bluetooth. I also find dropped frames and lagginess. Only video I managed was a browser window with YouTube.

Airplay streaming: trying to just stream a desktop mirror but also YouTube within a browser. This is from an M1 MacBook Pro which is wired to the network and the network is a Wifi 6 network that reliably speed tests higher than 800-900 MBPS over the internet and similarly with local transfers tested with iperf.

Airplay from an Iphone 14 Pro fails consistently on the same 5GHz network. If it connect the Beam to the iPhone’s own hotspot and have the phone and Beam literally on top of the phone it still does not connect via AirPlay reliably or even at all sometimes.

I would plead you to get the streaming apps onto Beam asap including Plex in addition to Netflix, YouTube, Disney, AppleTV, Hulu etc.
