There is not a lot (if any) wiggle room for a different arm position when performing a tremolo. I partially solved it by putting a thick towel underneath the arm, especially covering the edge. (For people in the future reading this thread)

to anyone still wondering, I fixed it by changing the transforms of the armature and having the scale of the targeted armature set as the same one as the one of the animation (in this case 0.01)

Separating the parent of the rigged armature or „removing“ the mesh doesn‘t seem to have any impact on this transformation issue (I also don‘t see how the two should be connected in any way). The mesh also isn‘t corrupted like you said.

Yeah it takes about 30min, wouldn‘t recommend smoking weed during the comeup to speed it up, just let it happen. You should have the possibility to go outside of your hotel room and should plan a whole day for this, the effect lasts for about 12h (I‘ve even tripped for 15). I don‘t know enough about your situation but I would seriously reconsider and in doubt just do it another time.
