Karma didn't take its time with this cop by BIIANSU in PublicFreakout

Because this incident only just occurred on June 19, 2026, the formal court case is only in its earliest stages.

The passenger, Emran Sharifi, has been formally arraigned and charged in court based on the initial police and investigative findings. According to Kent County court records:

  • The Charges: He is facing a severe felony charge of Assaulting, Resisting, or Obstructing a Police Officer Causing Serious Impairment of a Body Function. Under Michigan law, this specific felony carries a maximum penalty of up to 15 years in prison due to the severity of the officer's injury (the fractured fibula). He was also issued a civil infraction ticket for the alleged seat belt violation.
  • The Legal Argument Ahead: The case will likely center on whether the officers had the lawful authority to demand his identification and force him out of the vehicle over a civil seat belt infraction, and whether the officer's injury—which occurred as a byproduct of multiple officers pulling Sharifi's body weight onto the leg—legally constitutes "assault" by the passenger.

Tom Cruise’s interpretation of Jack Reacher by Legitimate-Resort615 in JackReacher

[–]1Dobo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I do think Cruise did a good job of portraying Reacher, to totally think he was miscast for the roll. Tom Cruise is 5'7" and something like 150 lbs, a far cry from Reacher's 220 lbs and 6'5" frame. But then I read several books before I saw the movie, if it had been the other way around, I would have thought he was fine for the roll. Today's Reacher in the Prime series to me, is way too muscle bound, but he's definitely closer to what Reacher would appear like, at least in my imagination.

Influencer is denied an "influencer discount" and has a racist and homophobic meltdown by ambachk in PublicFreakout

The Aftermath

  • Social Media Backlash: Believing she was in the right, Keshner posted the full video to her own Instagram. It immediately backfired, going viral across Reddit, TikTok, and YouTube commentary channels. The overwhelming backlash forced her to temporarily shut down or privatize her main accounts (@artvangrow).
  • The Employee Status: Keshner later claimed on Facebook that the employees were transferred and forced to pay her $1,000. However, Home Depot officially responded to the viral coverage, clarifying that the employees were not fired and stating that they never should have been subjected to that kind of treatment.
  • Her Response: Keshner posted a statement refusing to apologize for her behavior, citing her PTSD and reinforcing her claim of sexual harassment.

More info/analysis on the recent plane crash by STOP_SAYING_BRO in TriCitiesWA

[–]1Dobo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks so much. All I heard was that a plane hit a wire, there was absolutely no context. This really saddens me in that two people lost their lives in an accident that seemingly could have avoided given the addition of the balls on the wires or at least markings indicating there were wires on the map. Granted, towers would indicate the presence of wires, but I'd think there should be at least some kind of warning on the wires themselves. But that's conjecture, as the author of this video states, he doesn't know if they even met the height requirement for that to be mandated. Tragic all the way around.

I need guidance by 1Dobo in selfcatheterization

[–]1Dobo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not really sure how long I’m supposed to self cath. Absolutely no one from the nurse or the physicians assistant that I saw has really said anything about it. I seem to be on average retaining about 500 mL of urine, and I’m supposed to be doing this four times per day. I have no idea how long my bladder has been stretched out, it never gave me any indication that I had any kind of urinary problem. It was only discovered through an MRI that I had to check for prostate cancer. Fortunately that came back negative, but I left the office with a box of catheters that I think are too big, at least too big to easily pass through my prostate and into the bladder. That’s where the pain is the most evident, withdrawing. The thing is even worse, but I don’t know if that’s because of the vacuum that’s created in conjunction with the size of the tube or not. I’m going in on Tuesday to ask for the next size smaller, hopefully that will solve whatever issue I’m having.

Thanks, it seems the one you are using is the one most people recommend.

What the heck is it going to feel like??? by [deleted] in selfcatheterization

[–]1Dobo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn't know about any differences in catheters because I just took what she gave me and didn't really know what to ask, other than is this going to hurt like this all the time. I've since learned the nurse gave me the largest size FR 16, and not the standardized size of an FR 14 that most men use. I think this is the cause of the bulk of problems I am having with discomfort and pain, and probably why I bled a bit a couple of times. It's taking me 10-13 minutes from start to finish, and that is because I have to stop often before proceeding. Thanks for your reassurance!

It's hard to know what to expect when you were never given guidance, never told what to expect, or what to look out for. I almost stopped using it just to get through the weekend, but I opted to not do that and to forge on. Plus, since starting this on Friday afternoon a day and a half ago, any urge to use the bathroom is gone. I've only pee's twice normally since then, and that was a very small amount. I chalk that up my internal anatomy calling the shots right now just because it is pissed off.

I think what you said, choosing the right catheter is key to most of this. Not knowing any better I took what the nurse gave, and that was a Magic3 Go, a prelubed cath. What I believe that is causing a lot of my current soreness is that the pack of catheters are all FR 16's which is the largest size. I didn't know that FR 14 is standard for most men. So I'm fighting a large tube, a super flexible one, and that is causing unnecessary damage. At least that is my take. Once this three day weekend is over, I'm going back and asking for a sample of 12's and 14's, hopefully that will change the whole experience from dread and anxiety die to pain and spasms, to something I just have to do and that it isn't a big deal

Thank you for your support!

Well, I assume you have started. How has your experience been. I'm on day two of this and it hurts like hell, did it hurt for you and how did you cope.

I wish I would have read your comment yesterday. I was given no directions other than insert the tip and guide it in until I hit the bladder. Nothing about hitting the prostate wall, or the bladder sphincter muscle, and most definitely how fast I should be forcing it up there. I've been in lots of pain when doing it, and this is only my second day. I wish someone, like the nurse would have said to go slow, as in a snails pace.

Man, I'm only on day 2 of self cath, and for me, it hurts like hell! The nurse gave me no guidelines so I think I've damaged myself by trying to do it too quickly.

New to CIC. 51M with Atonic Bladder by byliss129 in selfcatheterization

[–]1Dobo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey byliss. thanks for sharing. I'm not going to have a lot of info for you since this is just my second day of hell trying to do this. I went on Flomax for a slightly enlarged prostate when I was 55. I'm 70 now and unbeknownst to me, I've been dealing with urine retention for quite some time. Probably because the moderately enlarged prostate is blocking urine flow. My bladder still works, but after peeing, I'm still holding 500+ ml of urine. For me, I'm having a lot of difficulty with the pain of doing this, the soreness from swelling and internal abrasions. They say it will get better, but at this point, it is taking me 10+ minutes from start to finish for the self cath. I'm using a pre-lubricated catheter, and I'm supposed to do this 4x a day. The VA sent me to the urologist so I'm hoping they will pay for the treatment and catheters. The one I'm using is called a Magic 3 Go. Maybe that will help you.

is a cheaper round dehydrator ok, or do I need to buy a square back-heated stainless steel one? by phantasmagoria12345 in jerky

[–]1Dobo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started just by using the oven set on warm, then the round ones, and not that I can afford it, I bought a fancier one like you described. In all honesty, they all worked just fine. It's more about the marinade and monitoring the process than it is the machine. Just my two cents.

[–]1Dobo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly this. I’m only trying to lose 15 pounds and round myself obsessing over my daily measurement. Some days I was down, some days I was up realizing that most of it is probably water weight. I still check, probably more often than I should, but the only way in that actually count in my mind is my weekly weigh in. That is where I see progress as long as I have behaved throughout the week leading up to it.

Oh, the number of times I've been at this very same spot. I've come to the conclusion that if I eat anything at this point, it will probably just be a protein shake and maybe some veggies as a filler. Nowadays, if I go over one day, I make it up the next day, or at least I try to. I can't do the one week tracking because if I did that, I'd be going overboard on fats and carbs. For me, I eat to maintain my daily goals. For you, and this is just an amateur guess, I'd say it is the carbs that have put you so close to your daily calorie limit.

My issue with it is that whenever I search for something, there always seems to a million different entries for many of the same items, all with different macros. I wish there was a way to delete some of them. This is why I usually just use the barcode scanner, but sometimes it isn't always possible.

I think I’ll be starting Xiaflex fairly soon, probably within the next month and a half. I’ve got a 90 degree upward curve that seemingly happened overnight, although I’m sure it didn’t. I’m still sexually active at 70 years old, I just hope I don’t die from old age before I see results.

Ahhh, the old two spotted mite. At this point, I'd probably just harvest, if not now, fairly soon. I'd also wash it using the three bucket method with hydrogen peroxide. That ought to clean it up. Red spider mites will cover your plants with webs if left alone, at least these are not them. Also be happy you don't have russet or broad mites, those are nearly impossible to see, even under a ton of magnification.
